Associative Design is a brand by the Portuguese Association of Wood and Furniture Industries (AIMMP). It aims to develop and promote the production of Portuguese products and launch challenges that will contribute to innovation in the use of both technology and design. A brand of excellence, Associative Design will support, represent and promote companies that share this vision, taking their products further into exciting new markets. Associative Design’s partners are brands approved by its Technical Committee (made up of three members of the design and crafts community), for their performance in product design, market alignment, trend standing or designled re-industrialisation.

Associative Design will present an edit of the best in Portuguese design as part of a business mission to Shanghai, China. This special furniture event will take place at the Yuexing Furniture Mall in Shanghai and features a choice selection of products from premium Portuguese brands.

From 29th June–1st July 2018, three exclusive VIP receptions will offer some of the finest Portuguese food and drinks, with an opportunity to meet representatives from Associative Design and the selected brands. The Portuguese Association of Wood and Furniture Industries (AIMMP) originated the concept of Associative Design: “The Best of Portugal”. This event marks the third visit to Shanghai by AIMMP with Associative Design.
