PREFACE Hey AIESEC! Hi! I am Ipung your current LCP. How are you guys? I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

It's honoured for me to welcome you in our first internal newsletter of AIESEC in UMM 2020. Our first 3 months with a very extraordinary story, a story about facing extraordinary challenges will also shape us later to become very extraordinary people. Now is our chance to see what we will get in this condition because #LeadershipIsAlsoAbout being resilience in the middle of challenges.

AIESEC is a leadership organization, the organization full of a leader exists. A leader that can be a solution for others and leader can not stand alone because if we talk about leader we talk about facing the challenge together. Act as one to #CompleteTheAmbiton!

Dream School 11.0 Project Dream School 11.0 (Off Peak) is a project organized by AIESEC in University of Muhammadiyah Malang in 2020. During the span of 2 February 2020 - 23 March 2020 many activities are held. Activities undertaken in this project are cultural exchanges between Foreign Student project participants (Exchange Participants) to various parties, including elementary and junior high school students in Malang, other universities, communities and non-AIESECer in the greater Malang area.

Global Cultural Exchange Fest. 2020 Global Cultural Exchange is a event cross-cultural exchange by AIESEC in UMM with the students participant from various countries, started from Heidi Kusela from Finland, Tatiana Heitter Rodriguez from Spain, Emilie Uehara from Japan, Ninh Dinh and Bao Ngoch Pham from Vietnam, and Ooi Ming Yi from Malaysia. The objective from this event to get to know all the different cultures had by the exchange participants to embrace differences. It's also a place for local (UMM Students) to greet and get an insight about them and hopefully have the same experience like the exchange participants.

Other than UMM Students, The event also attended by our beloved BoA Dian Caesaria Widyasari, S.Psi., M.Sc. and other 16 guest/invitee from BEM and UKM representative of UMM. INTERNAL AUDIT Back in March AIESEC in UMM already done an Internal Audit with AIESEC Indonesia virtually for the first time. Internal audit is done for evaluating our second semester in term 2019. the purpose of this audit is to check all of the data or our proofing that we have from our second semester in term of 2019.

During the internal audit, it’s running well with a little technical error.

Talent Management already done to open a recruitment for AIESEC newie or we call this JOINAIESEC project, the objective for this project is get the best in the right please at the right time, it start from open booth JOINAEISEC, selection (Leaderless Group Discussion), interview, LJCO 4.0, On-Boarding.

LJCO 4.0 (Leadership Journey Conference) is the first touchpoint for the new member that succeed in the selection phases (LGD) and interview. This LJCO is the fourth time for AIESEC in UMM to be held as conferences for a newie.

LJCO 4.0

LJCO was held for three days (13-15 of march) in a huge villa with a beautiful view in Batu. LJCO was held a day right before the Covid-19 outbreak starts to impact Indonesia and before the goverment states any steps for Covid-19 Outbreak.

Although, The event was successfully held by the team of 4 amazing people. Nur Sakinah as the CCP, M. Farhansyah as the CC Program and Marketing, Indra as the CC of Finance, and Friska Melinda as OC of Logistic. The session is another fun part of this event. it was brought to the audience by M. Syaiful Ma'arif, Rahmi Husnu Aziza, Alafson Samosir, Muhammad Ilmiawan, Konita Ayu Nabila, Rayan Afif, Adelia Almira, Annisa Bitari, and Rebecca. Other than the member of AIESEC in UMM who brought the sessions, there's also a fun amazing chair who guide us through the days, Erfita Andina Saragih (Kak Indie) the MCVP of OGT AIESEC in Indonesia 19/20.

Also, there was a special guest from AIESEC in UMM alumni Rendra Ardyansyah who shares his amazing journey until he finally decided to establish AIESEC in UMM back in 2012. Yup, he is the founding father of AIESEC in UMM!

What's on Newies Thought?

LJCO 4.0 sangat menginspirasi dan memotovasi saya untuk develop my leadership and more active (speak up what's in my thoughts). AIESEC sendiri merupakan organisasi pertama yg saya join, sebelumnya tidak mempunyai experience at organization. Jadi, AIESEC merupakan batu loncatan yg besar untuk mengubah diri saya. Rafli, Newie It was very good. I got the chance to see something from different perspective and it opened my mind as well. All the sessions are inspiring and all the faci delivered the sessions very good. The committee also helped us so much and they tried their best to provide us an amazing experience.

Elvira Rosa, Newie Acara ini perlu banget. Meskipun banyak sesi mendengarkannya walaupun sangat bermanfaat :').

Tapi dari sini sering ada dibeberapa sesi untuk berdiskusi dengan beberapa member newie aiesec. On-Boarding On-Boarding is a one-off selection process for new after they join the LJCO 4.0, the flow of onboarding, first all the newie will join all the weekly meeting of the department, after that, they will get some study case from each department and they will choose two of study case that they pass with their chooses. with the final study case that they make it will be rated to determine the position of newie. it’s running for 10 days after LJCO 4.0.

Virtual Engagement Activity In consideration of COVID-19 we are doing engagement with newie by virtual engagement, by this virtual engagement, it’s a step of making all member closer by each other including our EB, Manager, staff, and newie. we start from we post our child photo in the Instagram story with our biodata, we do the QnA with our EB, QnA with Managers, Challenges, games, and many more.

Welcome to the brand new face of Archipelago!

One of our step to maintain our Internal Communications is by utilizing our own LC social media. And in this first quarter, we finally have our own standard to be implemented in future activities!

Why Archipelago?

Archipelago is the name of our LC in term 20/21. Archipelago means "kepulauan� in Indonesian word, and the logo itself inspired by the beauty of Indonesian Archipelago. It draws that AIESEC in UMM consists of many different. People with different backgrounds, either in their personality, and position inside AIESEC, We consists of different departments and functions that act as one to achieve and #CompleteTheAmbition that has been created in 2018, and will be finished in 2020. And we move under the same visions of our LCP that stands, Growth experience through sustainable impact to achieve the ambition.
