ALAMEDA HEALTH SYSTEM FOUNDATION LEADERSHIP WELCOMES YOU

On behalf of the Alameda Health System Foundation’s Board of Directors and the Host Committee, welcome to our 5th Soul of Spring at the historic Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts Calvin Simmons Theatre.

• AHS expands its services into the community by meeting patients and families where they are, whether it’s at a local wellness center or via our Mobile Health Clinic or our Dental Sprinter Van.

Caring, Healing, Teaching, and Serving All. The mission of AHS frames the work and focus of AHS in all that it does and how it serves our community. The five hospitals and nine wellness centers that make up AHS are the public health safety net system – an essential health system – in Alameda County:

• AHS co-creates patient-centered care by listening to patients and the community, creating opportunities such as the Patient Family Advisory Council, the Black Patient Primary Care Initiative, and the AHS Homeless Health Center Co-applicant Board. These are examples of engaging to elevate patient voices and shaping the work at AHS.

• AHS empowers pregnant and postpartum people with innovative approaches to increase social support and reduce depression and anxiety.

• AHS fosters hope through integrative care that provides a compassionate approach to serving patients with HIV. Multiple services collaborate to be partners in a patient’s health journey.

As president of AHS Foundation, it brings me great joy to bring people together to not just to spend time in community listening to great music and enjoying the festivities but to come together to support all that AHS is doing every day for the community and beyond.

Thank you to the many individuals who are a part of Soul of Spring – it is a project that is driven by the heart. Thank you for your ongoing support for AHS, its patients, and more importantly, our community.

Your support goes toward vital programs like:

Your generosity supports the well-being and health of our patients as well as AHS staff and physicians. Tonight take some time to listen to the stories of the patients, providers, and programs. With her crystal clear 5 octave range, her smooth, rich tone, and her ability to convey a wide swath of emotions with remarkable phrasing, Chanté Moore is likely a favorite singer of your favorite singer.

The daughter of a minister, Moore grew up on gospel music and albums by George Duke and Lee Ritenour and began her songwriting journey by writing lyrics to their music.

In the middle of her teenage years, Chanté decided that she was going to concentrate her efforts on becoming a professional singer after she gave an inspired performance in a high school rendition of The Wiz…and after she experienced her first standing ovation when she sang “Home”.

collaborative work including a feature on the Isley Brothers’ 2001 single “Contagious,” a Top 20 pop hit nominated for a Grammy in the category of Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. Moore also recorded a pair of duet albums; 2003’s “Things That Lovers Do” and 2006’s “Uncovered/Covered”. She was a key cast member in the hit TV One show R&B Divas LA

Her first appearance on the Billboard Chart was in advance of her own project when she was featured on El DeBarge’s top 15 single, “You Know What I Like”. In 1992, Moore released her classic debut album, “Precious” produced in part by George Duke. Propelled by the singles “Love’s Taken Over” and “It’s Alright” in addition to album cuts and fan favorites like “As If We Never Met”, the album was RIAA certified Gold.

In 1999, Chanté released her highest-ranking Billboard charging album, “This Moment Is Mine” which features her signature song “Chanté’s Got A Man At Home” which became a Billboard top ten Pop hit.

After her final Silas/MCA album “Exposed” the following year, Moore took a break from releasing solo albums and continued to have success with

Since 2008, Chanté has recorded and released four highly regarded albums. In 2024, Chanté was selected to be the first American ever to participate in one of China’s most popular TV singing competition shows, Singer 2024 and tied for having the most 1st place finishes over the show’s 13 week stretch and in doing so, endeared herself and her talents to the 220 million viewers that the show reached weekly.

In 2025, Chanté released her latest project “EVOLve” featuring production by Laney Stewart, Tricky Stewart, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis (the team that produced “Chanté’s Got A Man At Home” with Moore).

Of course, throughout her career, Chanté Moore has been on stage dazzling audiences with her unique combination of humor, testimony…and pristine singing. She will continue to share her unique voice with the world.
