AHRMA PARTNERS WITH WTB OWNERS GROUP

AHRMA has entered into a collaboration with Works Trials Bikes (WTB) Owners Group. WTB has been formed to preserve the history of the sport through the collection, presentation and competition of significant trials motorcycles. With membership exceeding 100, the group is comprised of former works riders, engineers, mechanics, journalists and historians of the sport from all over the world.

Recently, at the Ventoux Trial Classic in France, four exceptional machines were on display, some of them previously hidden from public view for decades:

• Bultaco Sherpa Type 27, ridden to multiple European Championship events in 1967 • Yamaha 360 prototype, built by five-time French Trials Champion Christian Rayer in 1971/72 with help from the factory, which led Yamaha to eventually produce its famous TY model • Yamaha 250 OW01 cantilever as ridden in 1974 by Mick Andrews to win the Scottish Six Days and third place in the 1974 FIM World Championships • Honda RTL 360, ridden by Rob Shepard to fourth place in the 1979 SSDT before the bike was commissioned to Belgium's rising star, Eddy Lejeune, and finally to Honda development rider, Kiyo Hattori

With the explosive growth in Classic Trials overseas, AHRMA is excited to partner with WTB as we endeavor to bring increased visibility to one of our most respected disciplines.
