VISION
Cooper Schutz
From the Desk of Jeff Krejdl
The final audited numbers for the fiscal year ending February 28th, 2023, are complete, and Ag Valley Co-op had another great year! We recorded $479 million in sales and posted just over $1.3 million in local savings. Net savings is $6.8 million, and we will be paying cash patronage this year to you, totaling $1.0 million. We returned over $891,000 in equity retirement and estate payments, which brings the total cash we will be returning to our members to over $1.8 million. We spent $6.7 million during 2022-23 on capital assets to assist you and your operations.
We will be handing out those patronage checks at our customer appreciation meals scheduled for the week of June 12th. We look forward to serving you a meal and visiting with you in June.
As we continue to navigate the uncertainty and volatility in our current environment, we realize that it cannot be business as usual at Ag Valley Co-op. We must ensure that your Cooperative is here to help you work through those challenges. Building long-lasting, committed partnerships with our members and the communities we are a part of will be crucial to our success. I also know that we need to continue to evaluate our daily tasks and procedures and look for those efficiencies that will bring profitability to our business. We must continually look for ways to add value to your farming operations and find ways to be relevant to you and the marketplace we operate in. We are committed to making that happen.
As we near the end of the spring planting season, I want to thank you for your business. The trust you put in Ag Valley Co-op and our employees to help you with your farming operations is not something we take lightly. Our employee group works hard every day to continue to earn that trust, and I am grateful that you allow us to do our part to help make you successful.
