SCHOLARSHIP

Cooper Schutz, son of Joel and Jennifer Schutz of Arapahoe, was selected as a recipient of the Nebraska Cooperative Council Education Foundation Scholarship in honor of Michael S. Turner. Schutz received a $3,000 scholarship and is a sophomore studying agribusiness at the Univeristy of Nebraska at Kearney. Congratulations, Cooper!

From Jeff Krejdl's Desk As we continue to navigate the uncertainty and volatility in the commodity markets, we realize that it cannot be business as usual at Ag Valley Co-op.

We need to make sure that

your Cooperative is here to help you work through those challenges.

As I look at Ag Valley

Co-op, I know that we need to continue to evaluate our daily tasks and procedures and look for those efficiencies that will bring profitability to our business. We must be diligent in controlling our expenses. We need to continually look for ways to add value to your farming operations, and we must find ways to be relevant to you and the marketplace that we operate in. If the employees of Ag Valley come to work every day with those goals in mind, we can all look forward to a successful future.

By the time you receive this, wheat harvest probably will have started in parts of our trade territory.

Last fall, we had several injuries to our employees attributable to traps that had

not been adequately maintained.

I would ask that you please check the traps on your

trailers and if they need maintenance or need to be rebuilt, please consider getting that done.

Please keep in mind that it may open fine when the hopper is empty, but it may be

tough to open when that trap gets a load on it. asset.

Our employees are our most important

If they are injured and cannot perform their duties, our ability to provide you the

quality service you desire and deserve becomes compromised. Thank you for your help!

At the June board meeting, your Board of Directors voted to redeem the deferred equities of our patrons born in 1943.

This vote and the ability for us to redeem those equities

represent substantial progress in the health and stability of your Cooperative.

We will be

sending those checks out in the next couple of weeks and are extremely pleased to do so.

They represent years of support and loyalty to Ag Valley Coop. Thank you for your business!

By delivering commodities to AVC, Customer: (a) confirms the storage agreement with AVC pursuant to the terms of this Policy; (b) confirms that Customer is the owner of the commodities with authority to deliver, store and/or sell the commodities; (c); acknowledges that AVC asserts a lien in all commodities delivered by Customer to the extent of any unpaid charges and fees incurred by Customer under this Policy; and (d) acknowledges that the charges and fees incurred under this Policy shall be deducted by AVC when the price for the commodities is settled or when the commodities are withdrawn from storage.
