After a hugely successful inaugural Grass Masters sale last year, we are delighted to be back collecting the very best the Traditional Hereford Breed has to offer. Not even 12 months on from last years’ sale the successes of last years’ entries are already shining through. With many of the females now calved, bulls working, and the highlight has to be Gavelock Sarah taking female champion at Shropshire Show this year for her new owners P & E Lynn. If you’re looking for success in the field or the ring with your cattle, you are looking in the right place!

This breed has never been more relevant or more appropriate for beef production. Traditional genetics are perfectly suited for grass based, low input, easy management systems. In an increasingly scrutinised industry, where welfare, sustainability and the cost of production are constantly challenged, this breed has a real advantage. We are seeing huge growth in the OP Hereford, those which trace their bloodlines to the 1878 herdbook and contain solely UK native genetics.

We have worked hard to compile a collection of animals for all customers, from experienced bulls to young bulls with heaps of potential, we have proven cow and calf pairs, cows and a couple of seriously smart heifers. This sale has shown to be about more than just selling these amazing animals, it has been a great source of promotion of the breed on an online stage!
