INDUSTRY MOVES Recent senior job moves within the global animal nutrition industry

Jason Klootwyk became the new Chief Executive Officer of South Dakota-based AGTEGRA COOPERATIVE, a farmerowned grain and agronomy cooperative. Bjørn Wallentin will join AKER BIOMARINE as Senior Vice President QRILL Aqua Sales. Meanwhile, Aker BioMarine’s current Director of Sustainability, Ragnhild Dragøy, will take on the newly-created role of Vice President Product Management. Andreas Oebbeke has taken over as head of the Animal Nutrition division at ALZCHEM GROUP.

Dr. Mark Connors is taking over as BEC FEED SOLUTIONS General Manager of Premix and Feed Additives for Australia and New Zealand from July 1st, following the retirement of Mark Fitzgerald from the post. Meat company DANISH CROWN A/S has announced that Tim Ørting Jørgensen will take over as new Group Executive Vice President and member of the Executive Board of from August 1st. Dr. Reinhard Grandke is stepping down as CEO of the DLG (German Agriculture Society) in September. The President and Chair will be proposing that Dr. Lothar Hövelmann and Freya von Czettritz take on new dual management roles after his departure.

FORFARMERS has appointed Chris Deen as CEO. He replaces Yoram Knoop who is stepping down.

HENDRIX GENETICS announced the appointment of Antoon van den Berg as Chief Executive Officer. He will succeed Jolanda van Haarlem who is leaving the company. ANIMAL NUTRITION FIRM HERBONIS has appointed Laurent Peron as Regional Commercial Lead Europe. Michael Sigsfors, has assumed his new position as CFO of LANTMÄNNEN, succeeding Christian Johansson, who is leaving the company. MARS, INCORPORATED appointed Ikdeep Singh as the new Global President for its Pet Nutrition business. Meanwhile, Mars Petcare President Poul Weihrauch is set to become the company’s CEO in September, while Loic Moutault will succeed him as Mars Global Petcare President. Dr. Theresia Lavergne has joined the team of NATURAL BIOLOGICS, A FEED ADDITIVES COMPANY, to serve as technical service lead, identifying product applications at the farm level. FEED ADDITIVES COMPANY NUPROXA announced the arrival of Felipe De Conti Horta as General Manager Europe. Global chemical manufacturer OQ CHEMICALS (formerly Oxea) has appointed Dr. Albrecht Schwerin as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). SYMBROSIA, a Hawai’i-based startup that uses seaweed to tackle livestock methane emissions, announced the appointment of Avery Kramer as Chief Operating Officer. TECHMIX EUROPE announced the addition of Nikolaus (Niko) Brunner, DVM, to the international team in the role of ruminant health business manager. Thai Union Group PCL announced it has appointed Bryan Rosenberg to the role of PRESIDENT AND CEO OF THAI UNION NORTH AMERICA, responsible for its two key North America operating companies, Chicken of the Sea International (COSI) and Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods (COSFF). TROUW NUTRITION Asia Pacific announced the appointment of Adam Banaszak to the new role of General Manager, reporting to the Managing Director of Business Unit Asia. Cidinei Miotto has joined the commercial team of Brazilian animal health company VACCINAR in the role of National Business Director for the Additives Line and Poultry Line Algae oil joint venture VERAMARIS will be receiving a new management team in the second half of the year, including Gertjan de Koning as CEO, Holger Kinzel as CFO/COO, Florian Butzmann as new Head of Supply Chain Management and Marion Hax leading Business Performance Management. European meat firm VION announced that Leon Cuypers will become COO Business Unit Pork as of September 1st, succeeding John de Jonge, who is leaving the industry.
