WELCOME TO NYU GROSSMAN SCHOOL OF MEDICINE
Our team has dedicated the past several months to designing an engaging and effective orientation program, and we are confident that this experience will provide a strong foundation as you begin your journey with us. As you prepare, there are a few important details we would like to share.
Please note that all orientation programming is mandatory unless otherwise indicated. Attendance will be recorded. If you need to miss a required session, as soon as possible please email MDStudentAbsenceRequests@nyulangone.org and complete an absence request form.
The dress code for all required orientation sessions is business casual. Should you need to contact our office, please stop by the Medical Science Building, Suite G45-69, located at 435 East 30th Street, or email us at studentaffairs@nyulangone.org.

Student check-in at Murphy Auditorium.
All students must arrive with their white coats no later than 1:45 PM to prepare for the procession.
Murphy Auditorium opens for ticketed guests. Seating is first come, first serve.
2:30 PM
Ceremony begins at 2:30 PM. The ceremony usually lasts 60-90 minutes.
Immediately following the ceremony, a reception will open for students and their ticketed guests.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
Attire for students is business professional - The event will be livestreamed and photographed!
Students are not permitted to embellish, embroider, or decorate their white coats.
Tickets will be distributed to students during orientation week.
All guests, regardless of age, need a ticket to attend the ceremony. Guests will need a government-issued ID to enter the building.
