The work of Polish born artist Marek Wasylewicz may looks perplexingly simple, but there’s thoughtful meaning behind each piece he creates.

Whether drawing or painting, Wasylewicz infuses his work with his inner thoughts, passions and intuitions. The recent artwork of this well rounded artist features a series of graffiti style paintings. The drawings and paintings focus on dynamic expression and his ability to transform as an artist.

Wasylewicz began his artistic journey as a oilpainter. He has inspired european expressionism like members of Der Blaue Reiter s group Kandinsky, Jawlenskim, Kanoldt, than abstract expressionism like Jackson Pollock s work through action painting to the neoexpressionism in Christopher Wool edition. Through these masters Wasylewicz aimed to show people art his way. As time shifted so did Wayslewicz’s artistry. A journey that began as a figurative oil painter soon included abstract art. Today Wasylewicz works have transcended yet again to neo-expressionism with focus on the essence of each form. Though he intends to demonstrate his view of art ultimately Wasylewicz creates for the joy and happiness he feels in completion of each piece.
