Caldwell Parks & Recreation is excited to present our Fall Activity Guide to the community! We have a great line-up of activities, classes, sports, and events scheduled for this fall. So, while we are still in the midst of the dog days of summer, now is the time to check out this brochure and make plans for your family’s autumn activities.
As fall approaches, families are preparing for the new school year, and so are we. Registration is currently open for our 2023 – 2024 Preschool and PreKindergarten classes. Additionally, we have added a list of monthly classes designed to supplement homeschool curriculums. These classes include Sewing by Hand, Let’s Read, Pixicade, and Mad Scientist Monday. The Homeschool Karate Program, held at the Roberts Recreation Center, has also expanded to accommodate the growing need in our area.
We kick off our fall season of youth sports with our popular coed flag football leagues for kindergarten through 4th grade students. Check out page 14 of this guide for the 2023 – 2024 schedules for youth flag football, basketball and volleyball. Did you know, Caldwell Recreation leagues aren’t just for kids! This fall, join an adult softball, flag football and/or basketball league. Adult recreational leagues are a great way to stay active and connect with friends.
Utilizing our municipal parks is another fun, and free, way for families to be active. The City’s newest park amenity, the Luby Pickleball Courts, is expected to open soon. Local pickleball enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the completion of these courts. On September 16, Caldwell Parks & Recreation will host the Indian Creek Pickleball Tournament at the Luby Park Pickleball Courts. Whether you are new to the sport, a veteran pickleball player, or just a spectator, come join us for an exciting day of competition! For a full list of park amenities, see page 22.
You will find a wide variety of fall programs and events in this Activity Guide; some new classes and leagues along with our old favorites. Be sure to register early and mark your calendars; you don’t want to miss any of the great opportunities available in our community. Thank you for including Caldwell Parks & Recreation in your fall plans. Be safe, have fun, and stay active!
