NPHC BLACK HISTORY MONTH STEP SHOW
On Friday, February 28th, the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) at Texas A&M capped off Black History Month with a celebratory step show. A tradition last witnessed before the COVID-19 pandemic, the NPHC aimed to revive one of the community’s favorite events to wrap up the month of February. The show was a major success, with tickets being completely sold out just before the show.
In front of an electrifying, “standing-room-only” crowd, our chapters delivered theatrical performances that blended traditional stepping with current pop culture. Notably, the Omicron Omega Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. presented "Delta Games," a show inspired by Netflix's Squid Game.
As the current executive board reaches the end of their terms, the council hopes that this newly renewed tradition will become a highly-anticipated annual offering for years to come.
PANHELLENIC HEALTH WEEK
In order to promote holistic wellness in the Panhellenic community, the Collegiate Panhellenic Council (CPC) exec team spent the final week of February hosting events and initiatives dedicated to all things well-being. Monday was focused on mental health, offering resource flyers and candy for each chapter to enjoy. On Tuesday, Panhellenic women exchanged thoughtful letters to one another, fostering a sense of community. Wednesday featured a relaxing yoga session, promoting well-being. The week wrapped up with Panhellenic women contributing to a large gratitude board, celebrating the things they are thankful for while enjoying a selection of healthy snacks.
