Specialist advice
If your situation is complicated, you may need help from a specialist immigration adviser. Specialist immigration advisers must be registered with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC), or a member of an approved body such as the Law Society of Scotland. Registered advisers are required to keep up to date with current immigration laws, and be insured against giving poor advice. Before entering into an agreement, check with the adviser if there will be a fee for their services, and if so, how much it will be. To search for an OISC-registered adviser, visit https://home.oisc.gov.uk/adviser_finder/finder.aspx.
