ICE 2018

Welcome to parad-ICE!

The 2018 edition of ICE London is set for its sixth consecutive year of growth, with new show-floor sections promising to give attendees an even more comprehensive insight into the ever-evolving industry.

In 2017, a record 30,213 visitors from 151 countries made it to London for the three-day event. Organizers are expecting this number to jump up yet again in 2018.

The 2018 show will introduce two brand new sections to their 43,500 sqm show floor, the ICE Payment Solutions Section and the Consumer Protection Zone, both of which are ICE London firsts.

The payments zone, comprising 4,000sqm of space, will provide a focal point for international visitors wanting to meet and engage with the key innovators and thought leaders in the sector.

Greg Saint, event director responsible for ICE London, believes the new area will be high on the list of ‘must see’ features for gaming professionals during their time in London.

“The purpose of ICE is to showcase and reflect the dominant trends in gaming and payments is a case in point. We were approached by a number of leading players wanting to utilize ICE as a platform to reflect innovations in the sector and to create a meeting point for all those international visitors with an interest in the latest technologies and advances. I am delighted that we have been able to respond to the needs of the industry in this way and I am confident the resource that we are putting behind the ICE Payment Solutions Section will be well received by visitors.”

Organizers will also be promoting the social responsibility message with the launch of the Consumer Protection Zone at ICE London.

The Zone will provide a focus for the social responsibility message and feature key organizations that are promoting social responsibility, as well as being a platform for presentations.

Ewa Bakun, Clarion Gaming’s head of industry insight & engagement, and the person responsible for organising the Zone, explained: “ICE London is not only the biggest gaming event in the world, but many industry observers regard it as the most influential. Wherever Clarion operates, social responsibility is one of the most important topics and that’s across both emergent and mature gaming markets. Although we are not part of the operating community we also have a responsibility to serve as a forum for discussion and knowledge exchange.”

Meanwhile, delegates looking to gain the latest industry insights will be able to hear from impressive lineup of speakers at ICE VOX 2018, the show’s official conference.

Hard Rock Chairman Jim Allen, UK Gambling Commission CEO Sarah Harrison and M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment head of entertainment, Jodie Fullagar will be among the 100+ speakers sharing their insight and knowledge over eight insightful tracks.

The eight tracks of ICE VOX 2018 comprise of World Regulatory Briefing & The International Casino Conference held on Monday, World Regulatory Briefing (2); Data Science & Personalization and The eSports Conference on Tuesday, and Blockchain; Modernizing Lotteries; and Cybercrime & Security on Wednesday.

LCD Monitors will also be on display, with screen sizes available from 7” to 55” and beyond, offering high-visibility, touch screen, sunlight view ability and ruggedization. Curved screen models will be on display, featuring concave and convex curved LCDs, and even S-shaped curve screens.

For customers needing more screens or high performance discrete graphics card performance, Advantech-Innocore graphics cards only use the latest AMD and Nvidia GPUs.

Customers can experience a 3D performance with extended availability needed for gaming.

The SQFlash Range Storage is set to be on display in multiple formats, offering power fail detection and protection, as well as flush manager and voltage stabilization. It has been approved by the most demanding ODMs in gaming and lottery.

Ticking all the boxes

AMAZING GAMING

Amazing Gaming is the latest brand within the Tain group of companies, aimed at developing and offering a full suite of engaging player-facing products.

The portfolio on offer covers different verticals - game development, Sportsbook and Live Casino.

Expansion plans

ALFASTREET

With its latest venture into slot machine production, Alfastreet says it expects to achieve important results in 2018.

2017 was a stellar year for the company, says Alfastreet, with the introduction of the brand new single terminal Felix T, which incorporates the company’s extensive experience and optimized user interface with an attractive design solution, optimized space usage and flawless ergonomic position for the player.

It is around this product that new applications will be unveiled, such as the odd numbered 7-station automated roulette, the revolutionary Car Race, that introduces a rally racing theme to the familiar platform, and Royal Derby horse racing.

A number of interesting design and functionality features are guaranteed to be one of the main attractions at ICE this year, says the company.

However, there are more important upgrades and novelties coming: such as upgraded cylinders for the company’s Roulette and Dice products, known for their immaculate performance and bullet-proof reliability.

The new solutions will retain all of the strong points, but will include some added improvements.

Of course there will be newly designed setups with our extensive range of single terminals to present some of the many possible configurations. Wiky single terminal, that won the title of most successful single terminal in 2017 will also get a slight upgrade, accompanied by a very sleek and versatile Coffee table and Table Top terminals, adding flair for a sophisticated casino design.

Multi Touch and Lucky 8 machines were the highest performing new machines in 2017, so Alfastreet is bringing optimized editions to the show as well.

The Felix S slot machines are set to be upgraded with a contemporary curved screen solution as well as other technical features, adding to the versatility and performance of the product.

All the machines feature full inter-connectivity to any number of automated electronic or live sources (Roulette, Blackjack, Poker, Baccarat, Sic Bo, Dragon vs Tiger, Derby horse-racing and plenty more).

A slightly different concept stands behind the Alibi box cabin, that is getting more and more appreciated not only in casino venues, but provides various alternative applications outside the industry.

Aristocrat Technologies will be unveiling a new portfolio for the EMEA markets on stand S3-250 under the all-encompassing theme, ‘It’s all about what’s inside’.

Leading the charge of new licensed concepts on display at the London show is the Flame55 cabinet, a sleek and elegant large format cabinet featuring a 55-inch portrait double-curved screen.

Available in standalone and beacon carousels, the launch title is themed on the three-time Grammy award winning pop music superstar brand, Mariah Carey.

The Flame55 pipeline includes a sequel to the highly successful title Game of Thrones and a new title based on the HBO powerhouse series, Westworld.

Also showcased will be Dragon Link, an Arc Single portrait-screen form factor evolution of Lightning Link with 1€ and 2€ added to the player-selectable multi-denomination options.

Dragon Link will launch in Europe with four Asian-themed base games – Autumn Moon, Golden Century, Happy & Prosperous and Panda Magic – and a choice of LED sign packages.

Amongst several other Aristocrat titles, the Mighty Cash game library spearheaded by Zorro will be joined by another licensed brand, Ted, with both existing standalone progressive games also being featured in the new multi-licensed Mighty Cash Link, along with complementary base game themes Elvira and Pan-Am.

Aruze Gaming is set to have a benchmark year, as they will be presenting more new and one-of-a-kind products in 2018.

Aruze’s diverse portfolio continues to expand year after year and their new products will be on full display at ICE 2018.

Betsoft Gaming will be using the 2018 ICE Totally Gaming Trade Expo to reveal their most ground-breaking year to date.

Yggdrasil Gaming is set to revolutionize the table games sector when it enters the vertical during the first quarter of 2018 with a game-changing new collection of products.

The supplier is developing several popular multiplayer table games, with Blackjack the first to go live, using its progressive, in-house technology, REDUX. The product will also include popular sidebets and a range of powers unique to each dealer.

REDUX combines the best aspects of both live and RNG casino, providing the perfect platform for players to fully immerse themselves in a 3D casino environment, which uses motion capture technology to model the movements of the dealer.

Several different, high-quality dealer characters are being developed using the technology, and each will be programmed with detailed hand movements and facial expressions to interact and communicate with the player.

Alongside a standard branding package, there will also be the option for exclusive, customized tables and dealers. Operators will be able to dress up the game according to their visual identity or special themes.

Roulette and Baccarat will then be added to its portfolio of table games, all utilizing a highly-detailed 3D dealer and innovative social experiences, which will allow players to sit and communicate with other players at the gaming table.

Yggdrasil table games will initially go live with operators Vera&John and Intercasino, both part of the Jackpotjoy Group, in a beta partnership with a view to being fully operational later this year.
