Turkey Intensive School Program in Turkey (Dec

2023 to February 2024)

4 weeks of school and 2 weeks of semester break in the Southern city of Adana

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Adana is one of the cities with the warmest climate in Turkey. The average temperature in December-January is 15-20 Celcius.

You will arrive directly to Adana where you will be received by AFS Volunteers.The next day will be the Arrival Orientation held in the city. Afterwards you will meet your host families on Sunday afternoon, when they will come to the orientation venue to pick you up.

School starts early on Monday and they will have classes for four full weeks (except January 1st) since Turkey doesn't celebrate Christmas. 3rd week of January is usually when the Semester Breaks for all high schools is scheduled.

Program Highlights:

● Short trip and End of Stay camp at Cappadocia (The location might change due to logistics or weather conditions.)
