AFS: Building an Inclusive Educational Community of Global Citizens AFS is an international, voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit organization that provides intercultural learning opportunities to help people develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world. Our community india@afs.org | india.afs.org comprises students, families, and volunteers who have united Be part of the of #AFSeffect in the mission to build bridges between cultures.

AFS Network of Member Schools in India Since 2005, we have proudly impacted over 15,000+ students and educators, hosted more than 1,500 students from around the world, and facilitated international experiences for approximately 2,000 Indian students. Our extensive network includes partnerships with over 250+ schools, colleges, and universities across India, underscoring our strong commitment to fostering global understanding and cultural exchange. Our schools are an integral part of AFS India.

At AFS India, we believe that education is the cornerstone of creating a more just, equitable, peaceful, and sustainable world. By engaging with AFS, schools, and educators get the tools and support they need to integrate intercultural learning and global citizenship education into their classrooms. AFS India Intercultural Programs’ Impact The impact of cultural exchange programs extends far beyond the exchange period itself.

Alumni often emerge as global leaders, influencers, and champions of intercultural understanding. AFS India further extends its impact by providing scholarships to deserving children from underprivileged backgrounds, enabling them to participate in cultural exchange programs. What AFS India Membership Means Being an AFS India member school, schools are encouraged to engage in lateral cooperation, co-creation, and co-production with AFS India through active engagements all yearlong.
