uring the Delta Centennial Celebration a book signing for “Be Strong!” was held, July 15, at the St. Gregory Hotel in Northwest, Washington, DC. This edition included additional input by the author’s daughter Rachael Murphy Humphrey who spearheaded this project for the past five years to Rachael Murphy Humphrey, Rev. Dr. Marie Murphy Braxton be available in time for the Centennial celebration. and Rev. ike Sunday Morning Joy on the local radio stations, the Centennial Ecumenical Service was a foot stomping, spirit filled, gospel extravaganza highlighted by the powerful preached word by AME Bishop Vashti, national chaplain of Delta Sigma Theta. Convention Center halls were filled to capacity with the overflow staged at the Verizon Center.
