The collaborative launch of the RISEUP Pitch in 2021, awarding over $200,000 in grants to Black Women-led Businesses, and becoming one of the 30 Program Managers for the Black Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Fund (BENEF) of $100 million, further exemplify our commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and diversity

Empowering Black Communities: The Black Advisory Hub (BAH)
The Black Advisory Hub (BAH) is a dynamic community-based program led by Casa Foundation and 11 partners, dedicated to enhancing employment, income, and job opportunities for the Black and African diasporas across Canada With a strategic focus on training, mentoring, coaching, placements, networking, courses, grants, and loans, BAH aims to empower individuals who identify as Black entrepreneurs and business owners, fostering economic growth and entrepreneurship within the Black community
Purpose:

The Black Excellence 2024 event held at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Ottawa, on February 23rd, 2024, was a resounding success With a theme centered around "Women in Business - Enabling Managers to Rise to Boards and Top Leadership," the event brought together a diverse array of voices, ideas, and experiences From networking sessions and panel discussions to keynote speeches and gala buffet dinners, every moment was meticulously curated to inspire, empower, and celebrate the achievements of the Black community in business. With esteemed speakers, including government officials, ambassadors, and industry leaders, the event provided invaluable insights into the entrepreneurial journey and highlighted the importance of diversity and inclusion in corporate leadership The launch of the Black Entrepreneur Youth Initiative (BEYI) marked a significant milestone, signaling a commitment to nurturing and supporting the next generation of Black entrepreneurs Overall, the event was a testament to the resilience, innovation, and excellence of the Black community, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended

Rise Up is a premier opportunity designed specifically for Black women entrepreneurs, offering a platform to showcase their business concepts, gain visibility, and access financial support. Founded by the Black Business and Professional Association, The Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (WEKH), Diversity Institute, and Casa Foundation, with generous support from esteemed partners like the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Loblaw Companies Limited, and Hydro One, Rise Up aims to empower and uplift Black women in business across Canada Through a series of workshops and competitions, participants have the chance to win $10,000 in funding and access vital entrepreneurial development resources Eligible applicants must be legal residents of Canada, self-identify as women of African, Caribbean, or Black descent, and own a for-profit business registered and operating in Canada The 2024 Rise Up Pitch Workshops and Competition timeline spans from April 7th to May 17th, featuring business workshops, pitch coaching sessions, and the live pitch competition Don't miss the chance to elevate your entrepreneurial journey with Rise Up
The 13th edition of the Friends of Africa (FOA) Economic Summit, organized by Casa Foundation for International Development (Casa Foundation), is set to take place from October 6th to 7th, 2023. Founded in 2011, Casa Foundation has been dedicated to empowering youths, women, and emerging leaders through various programs and initiatives across sectors. Notable achievements include receiving the Diaspora Achiever Award from Nigeria’s House of Representatives in 2014, launching the official investment magazine AfroInvestors in 2015, and creating impactful programs such as the Entrepreneurs’ Exchange, EP Academy, Women Inspire, and BEYI to support entrepreneurship and economic development.
The FOA Economic Summit has evolved into a pivotal platform for global influencers and leaders to explore themes vital to African economies and diasporan businesses. This year's theme, "Leveraging Economic and Trade Partnerships in Global Recovery," underscores the importance of collaboration in driving global development, especially in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.
