KLM INCREASES CAPACITY TO SOUTH AFRICA!
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, is set to increase capacity to South Africa. The number of direct flights between Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Cape Town International Airport in Cape Town will be increased from the Christmas period to the end of the winter season with two extra flights per week. Additonal flights AMS > CPT will be on Tuesdays and Sundays CPT > AMS will be on Mondays and Wednesdays. Commencement is in December 2024 until 30 March 2025.

UGANDA REINSTATES VISA ON ARRIVAL SERVICE TEMPORARILY
AMIDST TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES WITH THE E-VISA SYSTEM.
The Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control has restored the Visa on Arrival option for all visitors to Entebbe due to ongoing IT challenges with the e-Visa system. This temporary measure will be in place until the system is fully resolved. Airlines have been informed to allow passengers traveling to Entebbe to board without an e-Visa.
ZAMBIA AIRWAYS LAUNCHES FLIGHTS TO NAIROBI, KENYA
Zambia Airways' is set to launch non-stop flights to Nairobi in Kenya. The airline will operate four weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays between Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) in Lusaka and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi, effective 27 October 2024.

Good afternoon!
A few days ago I returned home from my African trip, and I wanted to let you know how it went…it went wonderfully!
Peter picked us up from the airport, and he was all smiles which made us relax after our long journey! At the hotel, we were introduced to Alex who would be our guide; he explained the process and answered our questions which made me feel even more comfortable!
I wasn’t involved in the planning of the trip so I don’t know if Africa Awaits or Afritrek or both decided on the accommodations. The luxury tent camps were our favorites as we enjoyed hearing the animals at night and liked that they were all inclusive, plus the food was amazing! I especially enjoyed when a local dish was an option!
Now, about our guide, Alex. He was a treasure to us all! He made it his goal to keep us safe, to provide excellent views of animals, to teach us about the culture and wild life, and to answer our many, many questions! My group asked a lot of questions, and Alex answered them all patiently and even took the time to show us pictures and information in his book of wildlife! He even stocked the cooler with the drink preferences we listed on our forms! Such attention to detail!
We are talking about a future trip to other parts of Africa, and we will use Afritrek and request Alex to be our guide!

Oh! I forgot one thing! I travelled as a single with two married couples, and I often sat in the back. Alex made sure that I could see the animals, made sure that the book was passed back to me, and made sure that I was always included! I’m a bit quiet so I really appreciated him doing this! I don’t think I told him this, but I will!
