has announced that Kusini Airstrip in the Serengeti will remain closed this season.
Alternative Airstrip: Flights will now route to Ndutu Airstrip, increasing transfer times to Ubuntu Migration Camp by approximately one hour.
Additional Fees: Ndutu Airstrip is located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA), resulting in additional park fees due on arrival and departure days.

Airlink, Southern Africa’s premier airline, will add three weekly night flights to its Johannesburg-Nairobi service from 30th of March 2025.
A NEW CHAPTER FOR RIDE MASAI MARA
After years of unforgettable rides at Olerai Conservancy, Ride Maasai Mara is relocating to Enonkishu Conservancy, Northern Mara, under the new name Horses in the Wild.
Starting December 2024, it will be managed by House in the Wild, continuing its legacy of exceptional safari experiences.
The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority has announced the closure of Jinja airfield until October 27th next year, requiring travelers to arrange alternative flights.
Aerolink Uganda has discontinued scheduled flights to Mbarara, Mweya (Queen Elizabeth National Park), and Kidepo but continues to offer charter services to these destinations.
Air Kenya's Mara–Entebbe route will now operate year-round with a minimum of four passengers, except from April to May and November to mid-December 2025, when it will run as a charter service. This route seamlessly connects the Masai Mara’s Great Migration with Uganda’s gorilla and chimpanzee tracking, supported by Aerolink Uganda’s domestic flights.
Kenya recently introduced a visa-free policy for all African travelers, a significant move to promote intra-African travel and enhance regional integration.
