The institution decided to deliver academic activities virtually through December, following a sharp increase in COVID-19 cases on the continent of Africa. In late August, the Africa Centers for Disease Control reported more than one million confirmed cases and close to 27,000 deaths across 55 countries. Despite postponement of in-person classes, Vice Chancellor Munashe Furusa remains optimistic.
