AU Thanks Annual Conferences for Affirming its Mission Across all five jurisdictions, Africa University friends, staff and alumni were present at annual conferences in May/June to say “Thank You” to local churches for their ongoing support. In 2013, the generosity of local congregations placed the Africa University Fund (AUF) apportionment in the number one spot for overall giving to the general church funds. The South Carolina Conference gave 100% to the AUF for the first time in 22 years. The Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Iowa conferences went an extra mile, investing in the AUF at 131.6%, 121.8% and 106%, respectively. The university expressed its gratitude and appreciation with special banners and e-cards. Every annual conference received an electronic “Thank You” card for its 2013

BWC Exploring AU Campaign For 2015

The student members of the Africa University Choir impressed and excited congregations as they toured the Baltimore-Washington Conference (BWC). At its May 29-31 gathering, the conference created a taskforce to look into launching a new campaign to raise funds for AU. The taskforce is expected to engage with potential large donors, and prepare a proposal for the annual conference to review and act on in 2015.
