Laying foundations for the future

When Claude was accepted into the Center for Champions, it was the first time he felt like he had a chance in life.

Claude’s story of hope

Claude’s story is one of hardship, hope, and transformation. Growing up in Rwanda, he lived with his grandmother after his parents were tragically killed in the 1994 genocide.

“I started working as a child, making some money from digging fields and looking after cows for other people,” said Claude. “As I grew up and got stronger, I could work harder.”

Life felt heavy. Claude’s dreams were small and his future uncertain.

Because of YOU, dreams are becoming a reality

When Claude was 15, something changed.

“I remember some people came and told me about African Enterprise’s Center for Champions,” he said. At first, it seemed too good to be true.

“There were so many people who wanted to join the Center that I was very hesitant to register,” he said. “I had finished primary 6 and could read and write and was missing both parents, so I fit the requirements.”

When Claude was accepted, it was the first time he felt like he had a chance in life.

Laying foundations for the future

“At the Center, I learned how to measure out a house, how to render a wall and cement a floor,” said Claude.

“The program was hard because I had to walk a long way,” he said. “When I left in the evening, I was hungry. Often there was no food. But I was willing to study, to become somebody in life.”

Your generosity transforms lives

After a year of training, Claude graduated.

“The Center for Champions taught me valuable skills, and I have learned more from experience,” he said. “I built this house myself and now earn three times what I could working for others.”

Today, Claude is married and working harder than ever. “This year we will have our first child, so I need to expand my house and buy land to grow food and feed my family.”

You are making futures brighter — one life at a time

“If I hadn’t gone to the Center for Champions, I would be miserable,” said Claude. He would be stuck in the same

hopeless life he had before. Today, Claude is building a future for himself and his family.

MISSIONS UPDATE: Fall City, Uganda

The Soroti City Mission, carried out last September in eastern Uganda, was a transformative nine-day outreach centered on Matthew 11:28-29: “Come, Find Rest in Jesus Christ.”

The mission aimed to provide spiritual and emotional relief to Soroti residents. More than 119 missioners from Uganda and Kenya engaged in activities such as door-to-door evangelism, school ministries, open-air rallies, and special outreach to prisoners, street children, and sex workers.

More than 20,000 heard the Gospel, with 2,865 people reached door-to-door and 1,091 accepting Christ. Thanks to you, this diverse initiative inspired profound life changes, uniting communities in faith and hope!

A second chance for Gamalia

Your generosity helped lead him back to Jesus

For many years, Gamalia lived for parties and pleasure, but deep down, he felt an emptiness he couldn’t ignore.

Then, in December 2023, he found Christ — and his life changed. He began going to church and studying the Bible, and for the first time, he felt a sense of peace and purpose. But old habits crept back, and soon, he found himself slipping away from his new faith.

Gamalia (right) was ready to argue with the African Enterprise evangelists but instead felt pulled back to Christ.

Your support helps open hearts to the Gospel

Recently, Gamalia met some African Enterprise evangelists on the street. Though he was ready to argue, their kind and compelling words softened him, and he felt a pull back to Christ. Now, thanks to this encounter, he’s committed to following this new path. He knows it won’t always be easy, but with God, he’s finally finding the peace he’s been searching for.

Thank you for all you make possible to share the Gospel throughout Africa and point people to Jesus!

■ Through you, we will expand missions to 8 additional African cities.

Community Transformation Groups (CTGs):

■ Your support will equip 240 churches in 12 countries for evangelism.
