Evangelising the Cities of Africa through Word and Deed in Partnership with the Church
01 Pray for wisdom and guidance for Stephen Mbogo, AE’s International Team Leader, as he makes decisions each day about the best way forward for AE’s outreach.
02 Pray for Emmanuel Kwizera, AE’s International Missions Director, in his work of ensuring that AE’s evangelistic outreaches are as fruitful and effective as posslble.
03 Pray for Jamie Morrison, AE Canada Executive Director, for guidance and favor as he engages new and existing supporters to pray for and give to AE’s ministry.
04 “Be strong and courageous and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work ... is finished ... and every willing person skilled in any craft will help you in all the work” (1 Chron 28:20-21).
05 Pray for Simba Musvamhiri, AE’s Australasia Director, for strength and stamina and for new partners to come on-side and longtime partners to renew their generosity in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.
06 Pray for Biggie Paul, AE’s International Prayer Coordinator, in her labours to engage in and encourage prayer across the AE partnership and in AE friends around the world.
07 Pray for Patrick Tome, who works in AE’s International office in Nairobi, Kenya, as he keeps track of AE’s finances. Originally from South Sudan, Patrick and his family have applied to move to Canada as refugees. Please pray for favor with the government on this.
08 Pray for healing, blessing and encouragement for John Kalenzi, AE’s Team Leader in Rwanda, as he oversees a Team of more than 500 operating in 28 of Rwanda’s 30 districts. Pray for him to find a capable new secretary to lighten his load.
09 Pray for Janet Mwendwa, AE’s Social Action Director, as she oversees, monitors and evaluates all community development projects that help life people out of poverty.
10 Pray for Theuns Pauw and the AE South Africa Team in their preparations for the Johannesburg Mission from September 5-15, that churches would be united and people’s hearts would be open to hear and embrace the Gospel.
11 “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14)
12 Pray for Gordon Ondiek, AE’s International Operations Manager, who oversees all of AE’s international finances and inter-Team coordination from his office in Nairobi. Pray for wisdom and encouragement.
13 Pray for Michael Cassidy, AE’s Founder, for healing from ailments, for encouragement and for clear sight for the future as he turns 88 next month.
14 Pray for Lynn Nwagbara, AE’s Europe Director, as she engages supporters in Belgium, Netherlands, France, Switzerland and Germany from her office in Brussels. Pray that her successor would be found by the end of this year.
15 Pray for Joel Kasoka, AE’s new Team Leader in Zambia, for wisdom and favor as he begins to lead the ministry from his home base in Lusaka.
16 Pray for Esther Chengo, AE’s Communications Manager, for guidance in sourcing reports and stories from AE’s outreach to share with supporters all over the world.
17 Pray for Leonard Kiswangi, AE’s Congo-DRC Team Leader, as he leads an evangelistic mission to his home city of Kinshasa, the capital, from September 14-21. Pray for the Lord’s guidance and leading for him and church leaders there.
18 “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you” (James 1:5).
19 Pray for Irene Mugambi, Stephen Mbogo’s executive assistant, for wisdom and patience as she seeks to lighten his workload and keep him on track in his demanding work.
20 Pray for Robert Charles, AE’s new Team Leader in Tanzania, as he takes over after the tragic loss to cancer of Emmanuel Mbaaga. Pray for wisdom and favor for Robert among Christian leaders in his country.
21 Pray for Cornelius Huwa, AE’s Malawi Team Leader and International Missions Manager, in his work over overseeing AE’s outreach across Malawi, one of Africa’s poorest countries, and in helping Emmanuel Kwizera carry out fruitful evangelistic missions I all of AE’s countries.
22 Pray for Ben Sachie, AE’s Ghana Team Leader, in his work of carrying out ministry across Ghana and in reaching out to adjacent West Africa countries like Togo, Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast.
23 Pray for Benson Omondi, AE’s Kenya Team Leader, as he and his Team follow up the 11,000 or more people who made commitments to follow Christ in the Kisumu Mission in June.
24 Pray for Brian Mugwidi, AE’s Zimbabwe Team Leader, as he prepares for a mission to Harare, the capital city, from September 20-29.
25 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it” (Malachi 3:10).
26 Pray for wisdom and guidance for Wayne Herman, AE’s Board Chair for Canada, as he helps lead the Canada office and for his role serving as one of seven members of AE’s International Board.
27 Pray for Antoine Rutayisire, AE’s International Board Chair, in his work overseeing AE’s governance across the globe from his home base in Rwanda.
28 Pray for Robel Disasa, the new AE Team Leader in Ethiopia, coming on board after the tragic loss, again to cancer, of the long-serving Melisachew Mesfin. Pray for guidance and favor for Robel with pastors and church leaders across his country.
29 Pray for Alex Billal, AE’s South Sudan Team Leader, who will remain on the Team but before too long give way to a new Team Leader in that war-torn country. Pray for the right new person to be selected.
30 Pray for Moses Tibagye as he assists Esther Chengo with ministry reporting out of our Nairobi office, for guidance and creativity.
31 Pray for Benson Baguma, AE’s Uganda Team Leader, as he and his Team spearhead an evangelistic mission to Soroti from September 21-29. Pray that churches would be united and that many would come out to hear and accept the Gospel.
