Rejected but not abandoned
SUMMER 2023
You helped Noreen discover the love of Jesus! When Noreen was growing up in Zimbabwe, her parents did well to send her to school and provide an opportunity for her to have a successful future. But things took a bad turn during high school. She fell in with the wrong crowd, who influenced her to make bad choices, like having premarital sex. When she became pregnant, the man responsible abandoned her. Life as a young single mother was tough. She felt hopeless, abandoned, and alone and found herself drinking alcohol to numb the pain.
You helped reach Noreen when she was at rock bottom During African Enterprise’s “Serve the City Mission” in Noreen’s community of Mutare, a missionary trained by AE recognised Noreen from high school. Noreen listened intently as this former classmate spoke so passionately about a love that never fails. I want that kind of love, Noreen thought to herself. Right then and there, Noreen made the decision to commit her life to Christ.

“You helped Noreen discover the love of Jesus!” (Continued) New life for Noreen — thanks to YOU! Today, Noreen is set to see her life change with Christ on her side. She now sees herself as a child of God. She has vowed to raise her baby to know Him and trusts He will provide for her needs.
Will you please pray for Noreen and other new believers? They needed the Gospel, and now they need to grow in God’s truth. Your generous giving helps provide for both!
On fire for Jesus! For more than 30 years, African Enterprise has been passionate about reaching Africa’s youth through our Foxfire Youth Empowerment Program. The Foxfire program is currently active in South Africa, Malawi, and Kenya. This year, we launched in Lusaka, Zambia, and the first team of 8 empowered and dedicated Christian youth is currently being trained. God is also calling us to launch the Foxfire program in: ■ Tanzania — to respond to the growth of Islam in the region ■ Ghana — to evangelise West Africa ■ South Sudan — to reach young people in this war-torn country
Please pray with us as God leads us to share the Gospel with youth across Africa!
Hope and health for Nairobi Lifesaving care YOU make possible! The Soweto Kayole Primary Health Care Clinic is a community project established in 1996 by African Enterprise Kenya. Soweto Kayole is one of many slums located on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya’s capital. Soweto Kayole has an estimated population of 140,000, and most of its residents live in abject poverty in homes that lack electricity and running water. Additionally, more than 60% of the population is unemployed, with most families living on less than one dollar a day.
Lifesaving ministry YOU make possible! Today, this clinic has become the most efficient, affordable, and highly respected community-based health care centre within the area. The Soweto Kayole Primary Health Care Clinic is a beacon of hope for the community.
This clinic, made possible through your support, is the most effective community-based health care centre in the area.
Thank you for this beacon of hope you help shine into the community of Soweto Kayole.
God’s everlasting love

Paul assures us in Romans 8:38-39 that nothing “shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
A mission update for you . . . University of Ghana (May 2023)
The University of Ghana Mission came about from a friendly discussion among mission partners (students in Mission Deutschland, Ghana Fellowship of Evangelical Students, and African Enterprise Ghana). As the thought grew toward becoming a reality, other partners joined the mission: University Christian Fellowship, Legon Interdenominational Church, Bible League, and Institute of Christian Apologetics Studies.
You are helping reach the next generation for Christ In all, last March, we were blessed to have a team of 20 volunteers from Germany, 20 volunteers from Ghana, and over 300 Christian students fanned out throughout the campus of the University of Ghana to share the Gospel.
“ I am now fully convinced that Jesus is God and not a man.” — Hannah, a University of Ghana student from a Muslim background
During the week-long mission, the team knocked on doors, put on a drama, held a Sunday service, and hosted lunch bars, apologetic meetings, and a Bible exposition. In all, the Gospel reached over 67,000 people, and 1,250 people made a commitment to the Lord.
These eternity-altering missions are only possible thanks to you and others who give so generously. God bless you for your generosity!
In a world that increasingly seems to be spinning off its axis, how vital it is that we reach out with Christ’s love to ensure that people are united with God and not separated from Him! We see this in the Nairobi slum of Soweto Kayole, which I just visited in February, where the thousands of poor residents there have no other way to receive health care than through the clinic that you help support. New mothers learn of the love of Jesus along with the help they receive when they are learning to care for their babies. And those with HIV experience new hope and love through the supply of antiretrovirals to keep them alive for years and even decades when such a diagnosis used to carry a death sentence. Your support of our evangelistic missions — such as those in West Africa — and of our Foxfire youth outreach brings lost African people to faith in Christ. And to His love, from which they can never be separated. Thank you!
