Happy March!
I cannot believe we’re already into the third month of 2025! Spring is just around the corner.
I like to take January as my time to prep for the year: to dream, to schedule and look forward to that all that lies ahead. I start on my goals in February instead of feeling the pressure to start 2025 sprinting out of the gate.
But February snuck up on me and I didn’t make as much progress on things as I would have liked. Anyone else? Instead of shaming myself that I should have done better, I’m choosing to regroup and get intentional. Every day is an opportunity for a fresh start.
Lamentations 3:21-23 tells us: “Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
I’m really excited about working on my goals for this year, which includes consistency with Restore Magazine again. Look for new issues to drop every other month.
I hope this issue helps you feel inspired to make fresh starts, to dream for 2025, to grow, and to trust God every step of the way.

As a new year begins, many people “come up” with New Year’s Resolutions. Are you one of them? On December 31st did you feel obligated to have a resolution for 2025? What are some things you want to “resolve” for 2025? Personally, I don’t come up with New Year’s Resolutions and I don’t encourage them. To me they seem to be impulse decisions and just pressure from the turn of the clock into a new year. The clock is reaching midnight on the 31st and we feel compelled to have “resolutions” for this new year.
As these resolutions are being made, there could be a sense of excitement but as the weeks pass it feels that a level of frustration creeps in and the resolution dissipates.
What I like to encourage you in is having a “Fresh Start.” You do not need to wait until the 1st of a new year to make changes. They can be decided upon when you are ready to be serious about your change. You can have a “Fresh Start” every minute of every day.
I love the Word of God and this Scripture from The Passion Translation:
“Revive us again, O God! I know you will! Give us a fresh start! Then all your people will taste your joy and gladness.” Psalm 85:6
Getting a “fresh start” in a specific area of your life as the Lord revives you gives you the ability to have a new beginning and move towards change in your life. It’s His grace that enables you to walk anew, make changes, and have victory. That can be every day; not just in the new year.
What would you like to see different in your life this year? What are some changes you would like to have happen?
Do you feel like you need to lose weight? Or stop living in fear and enjoy each day without anxiety creeping up in your gut. Are you ready to focus on the trauma from your past and end the torment you’ve been living in?
What are the desires of your heart? If you are walking close to the Father, know that He places desires in your heart. Because He places those desires inside your heart, He will fulfill them. But it will require faith and trust in your Creator to revive you again and give you that “fresh start.”
The first step is making the decision that you want a fresh start in a certain area of your life. You don’t need to have it all figured out how it will happen. Just decide that it is something you desire.
Once you make the decision as to what you want, you will see that things fall into place. Doors open for you. People come into your life. Opportunities get presented to you that you never thought could happen.
Change usually doesn’t happen until we make the decision that we want change and begin taking those steps toward that change. Many times, we’ve been so battered in life and so disappointed that we don’t have the courage to look for something new, something exciting or fun. We tend to just exist each day and go through the motions of getting by.
Don’t live in that place. Have a Fresh Start in your life today! Allow the Father to revive you and give you the grace to have that “fresh start!”
