VIA SOCIAL MEDIA As mentioned before, major social media platforms are doing their part to keep you not only informed but connected with friends, family, and co-workers; we will break it down by each site.

facebook The largest social media site has a variety of ways to keep you informed and is making sure that false information is not misleading you. When you log into your account, you will notice a COVID-19 information center on the explore tab of your screen. This will provide up to date information from reputable sources. LinkedIn The social networking site has current job openings and a COVID-19 resource center you can access for free. Just log into your account and it will be on the right side of your screen.

Twitter Similar to Facebook, Twitter is cracking down on false information. You can also go live on Twitter, which is a great way to interact with followers throughout the day.

Instagram This app has become a hub of activity while social distancing. Just like the live workouts, you can also check-out other accounts as they offer live classes on a variety of topics.

TO DO AT HOME Bored at home? If you have children, they may be a little stir crazy as well being indoors during the quarantine. Here are some ideas to keep you and your family busy while you stay at home during the current quarantine.

movie night Take time as a family to enjoy a movie night. Let each family member pick a movie, pop some popcorn and have a movie night in. In nice weather, you could setup your movie night outside with a projector.

indoor camp out Set up a tent and have an indoor camp out. If you have kids, they’ll love mixing up the routine. Play games, make indoor smores or your favorite treat!

creative exercise Your exercise routine doesn’t have to be limited to a treadmill indoors. Get outside and take a walk in the fresh air (be sure to practice safe social distancing) or have a dance party indoors with you family.

family game night Dust off your board games or gaming devices and have a family game night.

You could learn a new game, like chess or play your all time favorites.

EXERCISE ACTIVITIES If your gym is closed, you can still try some at-home activities that will help you maintain your fitness goals. First, make sure to reach out to your gym and see if they provide any resources to help you while they are closed. Some gyms are allowing people to rent equipment while others are doing live videos on Instagram each day. Here is a quick list of accounts you can follow on Instagram to enjoy live workouts.

EXERCISE ACTIVITIES

yoga Yoga and meditation are great at home options for body and mind wellness. Many online classes are available at little to no cost during stay at home orders.

cardio Get your heart rate up with cardio activities. Walk up and down a set of stairs or do jumping jacks.

walking Exercise doesn’t have to be limited to inside your home. Walkking is good for our well-being. Remember to practice social distancing and keep at least 6 feet distance between other people.

keep moving Do quick exercises while doing every day tasks. Making dinner? Do some squats while you wait for a pot of water to boil. Watching TV, do a set of sit ups or crunches whil

pet exercise If taking your pet for a walk, CDC recommends keeping them on a leash and not letting others pet your animal. Avoid dog parks where multiple people and dogs gather.

Wash Your Hands Often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, taking extra precaution if you must be in public, after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.

Stay home and practice social distancing. Keep distance between yourself and others to protect yourself and help prevent spreading the virus in your community Visit www.cdc.gov to learn what to do if you are sick or think you may have COVID-19.

Cover your mouth & nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow. Throw used tissues in the trash & immediately wash your hands.

Wear a facemask, especially if you are sick especially when around other people. The CDC now recommends that everyone wears a face mask in public to help stop the spread.

Clean & disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily (tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, faucets/sinks & toilets.
