Mission Statement

As part of the world-wide Chabad-Lubavitch movement, our goal is to spread the light of Jewish tradition and values. Inspired by the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of blessed memory, our mission is to make Judaism accessible and relevant to all, irrespective of their prior level of observance or background. We believe in the power of education, compassion, and outreach to strengthen Jewish identity and promote unity among all Jews.

By adhering to the principles of love, kindness, and acceptance, we endeavor to inspire a deep sense of pride in our heritage and equip individuals with the knowledge, tools, and support needed to lead meaningful Jewish lives and make positive contributions to the world.

The move to a new, permanent location in the neighborhood has thankfully enabled our significant expansion in recent years. Through fresh and exciting programs, Chabad Georgetown offers an open and inviting center for Jewish life. We are a project of American Friends of Lubavitch (Chabad)
