The CARES Act provides so much more than the PPP loans most small business clients obtained during COVID and subsequently had forgiven. One little known governmental assistance program is ERC. Employer tax credits refund checks are being issued based on the number of qualified employees for the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2020 as well as 1st - 3rd quarters of 2021. Facts and circumstances, as well as governmental operational restrictions determine your availability. We have been submitting claims for clients since spring of 2021 and, although the IRS moves at their own pace, we have filed > $10 million in claims and already collected almost $3 million for our clients to date with more coming in every day. I have been an educator in St. Louis my entire career. I currently serve as Superintendent of the Hancock Place School District in Lemay and have been in this position for the past 11 years. Serving students and community is a passion of mine and I am fortunate to be part of our outstanding school community at Hancock Place. I grew up in Independence, MO and moved to St. Louis for college and never left. My entire family is connected to education. My father and mother were both teachers and my grandfather was a businessman and president of the local school board. My significant other, Anna, works in the Mehlville School District and my sons Cooper and Colton are a senior and sophomore in high school. Cooper is heading to Missouri S&T in the fall to pursue a degree in computer science.
