She also helps train employers to identify and support employees seeking shelter in their workspace from an unsafe personal life. Growing from an idea and a dream fueled by her own personal story, Caroline has grown the Safe In Harm's Way effort to an international collaborative effort providing service to survivors in all walks of life...making sure that none walk alone. The 2020 Boston Scientific Global Volunteer Award winner, Caroline has spent 30 years as a results-driven Sales and Training Professional promoting billion-dollar brands for Fortune 500 companies; thriving within sales, human resources, training and development. Caroline serves as the Founder and CEO of Safe In Harm’s Way; built by abuse survivors for survivors. Safe In Harm’s Way is an online bridge for survivors, giving a voice to the truth and connecting resources to leave perpetrators, plus thrive in the “after.”

I grew up in South St. Louis and am very happy to be working in Affton with MBhealth Insurance Advisors. My wife is from Columbia IL where we currently live with two wonderful boys ages 13 and 11 and our Australian Shephard Macy. I have a Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice and started out wanting to work in the area of fraud. I got a job with Blue Cross and Blue Shield in 2001 and it has led to my career in Health Insurance. My job helps feed my passion and that is helping folks navigate and make decisions that protect them and the ones they love with the right health insurance for them as an individual or a business. I have developed a love for building relationships with clients and community and the chance to work closer with the Chamber is a best of both worlds scenario for me.
Slamapalooza Saturday, June 26 4:00 pm The Grove at Holy Cross Academy/St. John Paul II (7748 Mackenzie) Mass in the Grass at 4:00 pm followed by musical entertainment, food, and fun until 8:30 p.m. The event is FREE and open to the public. Bring a chair. Money raised from the sale of food, t-shirts, raffles, and other activities will benefit the James J. Slama Scholarship Foundation. This foundation provides high school scholarships to students from St. John Paul II parish and Holy Cross Academy.
