The Affton School District Board of Education approved the hiring of Dr. Christopher R. McGee as Executive Director of Academic and Student Services for the 2018-2019 school year. Within this position, McGee will provide leadership, management, and coordination of assessment, data analysis, curriculum, and professional development systems, while also executing key tasks associated with federal programs and student services. McGee’s considerable experience in school administration includes his role as assistant principal in the Rockwood School District since 2016, and as assistant principal in the Webster Groves School District for two years prior. He also has four years experience as a curriculum coordinator in Webster Groves. In addition to his administrative experience, McGee taught high school and middle school science for 11 years. He is the CEO of Connected Learning, LLC, and is the co-founder of EdCampSTL. McGee will begin on July 1 following the retirement of Stephanie True, current Director of Instructional Programs at Affton School District.
