AFFTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE “A COMMUNITY WORKING TOGETHER” The Affton Chamber is a partnership of business-minded professionals and communityoriented individuals who as such, recognize the wisdom in coordinating their efforts for the betterment of the Affton community. Organized to promote the economic growth and development of the area, the Affton Chamber serves its businesses and citizens. Chamber members believe that service to the community is part of their responsibility as good citizens and neighbors. With that being said, membership in the Affton Chamber is not limited to business owners, but rather, is open to community members, as well as retired residents over 62 years of age. A membership plaque and window decal displayed at Chamber members businesses signal to their customers that they support the community. Membership in the Chamber is thought of as a “seal of approval” in the community that many consumers seek out when doing business. Through participation in Chamber activities and support of fellow members, everyone residents and business people alike continue to make Affton a better place in which to live, work, play, and do business.

Proceeds from the Trivia Night Silent Auction is used to start the fund each year, then Chamber members and residents adopt families and build up the fund through donations. Quarterly welcome mailing to new home and condominium owners in the area Participates in several multi-chamber events throughout the year, offering members the opportunity to connect with business leaders in surrounding communities.  OAKLAND HOUSE This restored 1853 limestone mansion was originally designed by well-known architect George I. Barnett for one of Saint Louis’ early bankers, Louis A. Benoist. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the 1853 Benoist mansion located in Affton at 7801 Genesta, opens its doors to visitors April thru September from 2pm to 4pm on the third Sunday of the month. Oakland House, operated by the Affton Historical Society, is available for private and business parties, weddings, luncheons and more.  ULYSSES S. GRANT NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE Formerly known as White Haven, Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site was established in 1990 to preserve and interpret the core of the farm owned by Civil War General, 18th United States President, Ulysses S. Grant and his wife, Julia. This historic site at 7400 Grant Road is open daily from 9am to 5pm. Interpretive and self-guided tours available as well as daily tours of the main house.  GRANT’S FARM Grant’s Farm is a wildlife preserve and historical site located on Grant Road in Affton, operated by Anheuser-Busch InBev. The Farm is home to hundreds of exotic animals from around the world, including St. Louis’ own and world famous Budweiser Clydesdales. Acquiring its name from our 18th U.S. President, Ulysses S. Grant, who took residence on the property in the 1850s, the 281 acres of land later became the ancestral home of the Busch family. Admission to Grant’s Farm, tram rides and shows are free. Parking fees are $12 per car & $30 per bus, RV or oversize vehicle. Season parking passes are available for $40. Stroller rental and wheelchair rental is available for your convenience.  GRANT’S TRAIL Grant’s Trail was once part of the Missouri Pacific Railroad Line, known at the time as the Carondelet or Kirkwood Branch, providing an alternative to crowded downtown rail lines. This portion of rail line was abandoned in 1990 until one of its sections was purchased in 1991 by Trailnet under the Rails to Trails Act; thus, Grant’s Trail was created. The 8-mile paved trail extends from the Orlando Gardens trailhead off of Hoffmeister Avenue, through Affton parallel to Gravois Creek, to Leffingwell Avenue in Kirkwood.  AFFTON WHITE-RODGERS COMMUNITY CENTER The community center has a full-size gym/multi-purpose room and 2 adjoining meeting rooms which are available for rental.
