We always envisioned getting married with an ocean view as we truly feel the happiest and most at peace by the sea

Santa Barbara We got legally married amidst the sun-kissed charm of Santa Barbara, CA, during a mid-March day that marked the end of a long, rainy winter. Joined by our closest friends who doubled as witnesses and photographers, we exchanged vows beneath the iconic palm trees of the Santa Barbara Courthouse.

Welcome Party Then we embarked on our journey to Sayulita, Mexico, where our loved ones showed up from different corners of the country to join in our celebration. As we touched down, many cold Coronas awaited, kicking off a weekend filled with anticipation, nerves, but, most of all, boundless excitement.

Our Welcome Party, held March 22, 2023, was hosted at the beautiful Frente Al Punto Beach Club. Drinks, dancing, tacos, and good vibes were had.

Frente Al Punto WITH LOVE, FROM MEXICO Translated as "In Front of the Point," Frente Al Punto is known to be Sayulita’s best and most popular surf break which provided the perfect location and atmosphere to kick off our wedding weekend.

Pool Party On the following day, March 23, a pool party extravaganza unfolded at our villa nestled in the hills above the town. The scene was nothing short of cinematic, with local dogs running around, everyone basking in the sun, tequila flowing, and swimming in the infinity pool that overlooked Playa Sayulita.

Wedding Day Our wedding took place on March 24th, 2023 at a venue called "The Palapa." Our vows, the speeches, every moment was so beyond special.

We all laughed, cried, danced, and most of all, loved. It was an evening full of happiness and better than we ever could have expected.

Pueblo Magico WHERE THE JUNGLE MEETS THE SEA Sayulita is a colorful, vibrant town best-known for it’s perfect longboard waves, mellow mood, and great fishing. It’s our happy place and we couldn’t think of a better location to tie our lives together

CHAD'S VOWS Liz, How do I begin to put into words all of the ways you have changed my life? Through so many new opportunities, you have been my rock.

From the first time meeting in Chico, to our times traveling together, and even the challenging moments in between, I couldn't imagine a life without you. Marrying you is the easiest choice I have ever made.

You are present, focused, and relentlessly devoted to our friends, our family, and our relationship. I admire your open-mindedness and sensibility. You make everyone you come in contact with feel important and heard. Your ability to light up any room you walk into is something I've never seen before. You’ve been the brightest light in my life since the day we met, and I think everyone here would say the same. You are my best friend, my support system and you look beyond beautIful today.

I know this life isn’t always going to be perfect, and our days will not always feel as perfect as this one. But knowing I have you standing by my side, rain or shine, makes me feel like I can do anything, and makes all of the imperfect days worth it.

As your husband, I promise to contribute to your growth and challenge you to always show up as the best version of yourself, just as you do for me.

I promise to one day use the foundation we have built together to raise a family of our own.

I promise to cook meals with you... well, I’ll cook, and you can just eat.

I promise you a lifetime of quiet mornings, long walks, beautiful sunsets, and taking the long way home, even if it’s an hour out of the way.

I promise to prioritize seeing the world, discovering new cultures and foods, and making everlasting memories with you.

And of course, I promise to always, always make sure there is coffee creamer in the refrigerator.

LIZ'S VOWS Chad, You often hear people refer to a wedding as the “start to our journey” or “start to our life.” While we are entering a new chapter of our lives together, our journey definitely does not start today. It actually started at a dive bar…

It’s been an honor to learn about the person you were before me, to grow beside the person you are now, and to help push you into the person you are still yet to be. Today, I commit myself to every version of you, completely and entirely.

One of my favorite things about you is that everywhere we go, someone knows and loves you. Whether it’s our local mailman, every single person at Jax’s vet, or even the baristas at our favorite coffee shop. You are kind, selfless, and encouraging to not only me, but each person you come in contact with.

You go out of your way to listen, to learn and grow, and to always bring light into the world. Most importantly, you teach me and everyone around you to never “forget a smile.”

Through all of life’s exciting movement and change, you, my love, have remained my constant. You have prioritized my needs and believed in my growth. You have put time, love, and effort into connecting with my family. You have cooked me more meals than I can count. And you have taken care of me: mentally, physically, and spiritually. I promise to invest in you the way you have invested in me.
