Meet Our President
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Alpha Epsilon Phi is proud to share that a number of our sisters have completed a suicide prevention training through the UMatter program. As certified suicide alert helpers, our sisters are now better equipped to recognize signs of crisis, offer support, and guide individuals toward the help they need.
UMatter is an evidence-based initiative that empowers individuals with the knowledge and skills to prevent suicide and promote mental wellness. The training covers essential topics such as risk and protective factors, warning signs, the use of compassionate language, and how to navigate conversations with someone who may be struggling. Through practical exercises and open discussions, participants learn a proven three-step intervention model and gain confidence in becoming a reliable source of support within their communities.
At Alpha Epsilon Phi, we believe that fostering a culture of care starts with education and awareness. By learning how to recognize warning signs and respond with empathy and action, we are better prepared to support one another through life’s challenges.
Mental health matters, and we are proud to be part of the movement to destigmatize tough conversations and create a safe, supportive environment where no one feels alone. This training reflects Wisconsin AEPhi’s commitment to building a sisterhood grounded in compassion, leadership, and meaningful impact both within our chapter and throughout the broader campus community.
ABROAD SPOTLIGHT
I have been having the best time abroad so far with my AEPhi sisters. My favorite trip so far has been London, where we drank tea and went to amazing food markets. I love living in Barcelona because of the weather and combination of beach and city vibes. I am so happy to be here but also missing my Pham in Madison!

MEET OUR PRESIDENT
My name is Emerson Crow, and I’m from Atlanta, Georgia. I have the privilege of serving as the 2026 Chapter President of Alpha Epsilon Phi, Sigma Chapter. Coming to college far from home, I ran for this position because of how much this chapter and sisterhood have come to mean to me. The sense of support, friendship, and belonging I found in AEPhi is something I wanted to help continue and strengthen for others. This semester, we ’ ve had an incredible time growing together as a chapter. From a successful Pink Week to meaningful sisterhood events and our Challah Bake, it’s been amazing to see everyone show up and be involved. We’ve also worked to support causes that matter to us, including the Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric AIDS Foundation and Sharsheret, which has made our efforts feel even more impactful. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our executive board, general board, and every member who contributes their time and energy. I’m really proud of what we ’ ve accomplished so far and excited to see where we continue to grow. The Sigma Chapter is a place where people can find their community, and I’m grateful to be a part of it.
