AEPHI

DIVERSITY. EQUITY. INCLUSION.

Alpha Epsilon Phi is proud to share that a number of our sisters have completed a suicide prevention training through the UMatter program. As certified suicide alert helpers, our sisters are now better equipped to recognize signs of crisis, offer support, and guide individuals toward the help they need.

UMatter is an evidence-based initiative that empowers individuals with the knowledge and skills to prevent suicide and promote mental wellness. The training covers essential topics such as risk and protective factors, warning signs, the use of compassionate language, and how to navigate conversations with someone who may be struggling. Through practical exercises and open discussions, participants learn a proven three-step intervention model and gain confidence in becoming a reliable source of support within their communities.

At Alpha Epsilon Phi, we believe that fostering a culture of care starts with education and awareness. By learning how to recognize warning signs and respond with empathy and action, we are better prepared to support one another through life’s challenges.

Mental health matters, and we are proud to be part of the movement to destigmatize tough conversations and create a safe, supportive environment where no one feels alone. This training reflects Wisconsin AEPhi’s commitment to building a sisterhood grounded in compassion, leadership, and meaningful impact both within our chapter and throughout the broader campus community.

LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

My name is Paris Levy, and I have the absolute privilege of serving as the President of Alpha Epsilon Phi – Sigma Chapter. Leading a chapter filled with such inspiring, dedicated, and authentic women has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my college journey. Each week, I’m reminded of how special this sisterhood is whether it’s through our philanthropy efforts, social events, or just the everyday support we offer one another. This past semester, we’ve grown in countless ways. We’ve come together to raise awareness for both Sharsheret, Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric AIDS foundation, and Am Israel Chai foundation, created memories through themed events such as Challah Bakes and sisterhood activities, and strengthened our presence on campus through collaboration and passion. None of this would be possible without the unwavering dedication of our executive board, chairs, and every single member who shows up for our chapter. As we move through the rest of the year, I am filled with excitement for what’s to come and gratitude for everything we’ve accomplished. Sigma Chapter continues to be a place of belonging, tradition, and growth and I can’t wait to see how we continue to evolve together.

A BITTERSWEET GOODBYE

Thank you, seniors, for all of the love, sisterhood, and positivity you brought to Aephi
