The Students' Union gives you a warm welcome into our university.

Erasmus students, just as every other student, are very important to us The quality of your time here during the next few months will not only depend on the friendships you create, the places you visit and the things you learn and experience, but also on how the Student's Union responds to your problems and helps you whenever you need, every step of the way.

To all of the international students who chose our institution to study, but specially those with the international status, you have a special place in our vindications. Mainly for the absurd amount of money you have to pay for tuition or the difficulties at adapting, that often are subtly ignored by the faculty.

Here, with your friends and colleagues and the legacy we carry, you will not only have a constructive experience, but you will find great strength to fight for what you believe in, to express yourself and to feel free.

And, as I couldn’t miss mentioning, for those who don't know, one of the most important dates for our students is right around the corner: The National Student’s Day, on March 24th. On this day we celebrate what it is to be a student, reminding ourselves of those who stood here before us, so we gather on the streets to shout for a better education system, for the end of tuition, fees and emoluments, for more student’s public acommodations, for more scholarships – we fight for our right to a public, free, democratic and higher quality education. So, we count on you to come march with us in Lisbon on this very important day and to experience first-hand what it is to be Portuguese student.

From us, our door is always open.

The Students' Union is also your place to study, read, play games, meet new people, and to reach out for us, anytime.

Have a great semester!
