AN UPDATE FROM ROD & CORY Happy New Year! As we reflect on 2021, our team was blessed with many great accomplishments that took place during this past year. We give thanks for each and everyone of these; we’d like to reflect on a few such as AE’s 15th anniversary as a company, our sustained growth is due to the continuous hard work and dedication of our staff and the new clients that we were fortunate to secure this past year due to our company culture of achieving excellence in all our endeavors! AE continues to grow in Florida as we expanded our service lines this past year to include Planning and Building Inspection; these service lines will assist our team in its expansion efforts for the Greater Southeast Region of the US. Our plan is to continue to expand our services to City, County, State and Private Clients for all their Professional Service needs. ROD MYRICK, P.E. President
As we enter 2022, our management team is focused on continuing our expansion into the Georgia market, to aid in this goal we are pleased to share that we have hired our Georgia CEI Leader Mr. Van Mason. Van brings 30 plus years of GDOT experience to our team and we are excited for him to join the team in early February. Other exciting news, AE is currently in design phase for our new stand-alone materials testing laboratory in Southern Georgia with plans for it to be operational by early summer 2022! As a team, we have weathered the many challenges of this past year and we are extremely excited about the future! We look forward to continuing to create a corporate culture that allows are staff to thrive and reach all their professional goals. We truly believe that without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement and success have no meaning. Continue to Achieve Excellence in 2022!

AE provided CEI services on the Lake Worth Park of Commerce Phase 2 Roadway & Infrastructure Improvements project located in Palm Beach County. This project included addition of two left turn lanes, (1) north of 2nd Ave. on Boutwell Rd. turning onto 4th Ave. W and (2) south of 7th Ave. on Boutwell Rd. turning onto 4th Ave. E. Additional roadway improvements included construction of curb and gutter throughout the entire project, new 5’ sidewalks on the east and west sides of Boutwell Road, shoulder stabilization, drainage, pedestrian lighting, and signing and pavement markings.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT SR 25/500/US 441 FROM SR 35 TO SR 200 AE is currently providing CEI services for its fifth project in Ocala, Florida for Group 179 with FDOT District 5.

This project consists of roadway improvements on SR 25/500/US 441 with the primary focus being milling and resurfacing. Shoulder and turn lane widening, pedestrian pathways, signal and lighting, as well as drainage, turn lanes, and median enhancements are also part of the scope. AE is responsible for full project management and inspections of the project on behalf of the Department. Our key personnel work closely with the Contractor (Heavy Civil, Inc.) and FDOT Ocala Operations team, to ensure this project is staying on schedule and within allowable project budget. Cost: $15.6M

AE GIVES BACK
Our President, Rod Myrick, P.E. joined the “2021 Great Cycle Challenge” once again this year riding over 250 miles and raising over $1000 to support Research for Children’s Cancer. We at AE have proudly supported his fundraising efforts these last 2 years and his commitment to this great philanthropy. Way to go Rod! Our South Florida team created Teaming for a Cause to support the American Cancer Society. Together with our sponsors, the Team was able to raise almost $2000 to support this great cause. We also participated in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer that was held in Fort Lauderdale. WAY TO GO TEAM!
