JOE VELA AIA, LEED AP MANAGING PRINCIPAL, CENTRAL VALLEY
ABOUT JOE
Joe has over 35 years of construction experience in a variety of industries. Through the years, he has worked on a wide variety of building types from private projects, prisons, churches, police stations, fire stations, hospitals and education projects. In 1995 Joe joined Aedis as a project manager and for the past 27 plus years, Joe has focused on the community college educational sector of architecture. He has led all aspects of planning, design and construction. He is well known for his thorough knowledge of projects, positive client interaction, management skills, and understanding the large picture for his clients. Joe prides himself in unifying his clients and user groups during design and execution.
As a principal of the firm since 2006, Joe focuses on client relations, operations and business development. Joe has also been involved in several large community college projects.
Joe is the past President of the Board of the San Jose Evergreen Community College Foundation and volunteers in public safety organizations outside the office.

ABOUT EVE
Eve joined Aedis in 2018. She was drawn to Aedis because of the company’s caring attitude to their clients and commitment to sustainability. Eve has over 20 years of experience in the design industry, including a variety of projects in k-12 schools and community colleges. In addition, she also has owned her own residential design business and led the opening of a design center within a Benjamin Moore facility near Montreal.
During her personal time, Eve loves to be outside. Whether she is in her garden, at a trail, in the woods, or at the beach, Eve believes she is happiest when she is in nature. Eve recently began to train for triathlons, as she enjoys swimming, biking, and running. In addition to outdoor activities, she also enjoys DYI projects because it allows her to be creative and to learn something new.

ABOUT SRI
Sri has been with Aedis since 2017. Since joining Aedis she has worked on several educational design and facilities planning projects within the Silicon Valley and Bay Area. Sri’s expertise include overseeing multiple concurrent projects and coordinating all aspects of a project to ensure effective execution.
Sri is licensed to practice architecture in California and India and is an active member at AIA Silicon Valley. She has served in leadership positions for AIA Silicon Valley and the Women in Architecture committee for over 5 years. She advocates for change regarding the inadequate representation of women in architecture by contributing to a support network that mutually benefits her peers.
Outside of work, Sri spends most of her time with family and friends who indulge in her hobbies of baking, playing board games, traveling and trying out new restaurants.
