The Christmas Story based on the Grinch By Maame Nhyira Addo-Boateng Once upon a time, the was a little boy who hated Christmas. It was the day before Christmas Eve and there were presents, and a big feast! He did not like the togetherness of the people during Christmas. He eventually met a girl who loved Christmas and was wrapping a Christmas gift to be put on the Giant Christmas tree in the community. He asked her, “why would you waste your time on Christmas?” because I am a Christian and Christmas is Jesus’s birthday. Jesus is our father and he died for our sins. So, have you seen why we celebrate Christmas? He still did not understand. On Christmas day, the community comes together in the night and light up the giant Christmas tree. This little boy went to the community square and smuggled the Christmas tree out of the place. The people in the community went to the community square and realized the Christmas tree was gone. But they did not care because they understood the real meaning of Christmas. They sang Christmas carols, and they were glad that they were together and that was all that mattered. The little boy asked for forgiveness and brought the Christmas tree back.

The Nativity Story 11
Long ago, in a town called Nazareth, an Angel called Gabriel appeared to Mary, a virgin with a message from God. The Angel said to Mary, “You are highly blessed, and God is with you.” Mary was surprised, Then the Angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary. God is pleased with you. You will get pregnant and give birth to a son and his name will be Jesus. He will be great and will be called the son of the Most High and his kingdom will never end.” Mary answered, how can this be, I have no husband. The Angel continued, the Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of God will fill you. At this time, Mary was calm in heart. “May God’s words be fulfilled.” then the Angel disappeared. So, Mary was pregnant with a baby boy just as the Angel had told her.
12
There was a census in Bethlehem. So, Joseph and pregnant Mary went to Bethlehem to register their names. While they were there, Mary gave birth to her first born son. The baby Jesus. She wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger because all the guest rooms in Bethlehem was full. There were shepherds tending their sheep that night in the field. An Angel of the Lord appeared to them and there were lights all around and they were afraid. The Angel said to them,” Do not be afraid, I bring you good news for all men. Today in the town of David, a saviour is born. He is the Messiah, the Lord. “How can we find him”, the Shepherd’s said. “You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly, a great company of heavenly host appeared with the Angel praising God and saying “Glory to God in the highest heaven and on earth. Peace to those on whom his favour rest.” The Shepherd’s hurried off and found Mary , Joseph and the baby who was lying in a manger. They spread the word and everyone who heard it was amazed.
13
Three wise men saw his star when it rose and wanted to worship him. They came to King Herod and asked, “ Where is the one who has been born, king of the Jews? King Herod sent the three wise men to Bethlehem to search for the boy king. They went on their way, and the saw the star again and they followed it till it stopped at the place where the child was. They entered the manger and saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then, they gave the baby Jesus gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. And they returned to their country by another route because they had been warned in a dream by an Angel of the Lord, not to let King Herod know where the baby Jesus is.

Once Upon A Christmas! By Nanahene Addo-Boateng
Once upon a time, it was the biggest Christmas in Christmatopia, everybody was buying presents, food and Christmas trees. Everyone was calling their family and friends to wish them happy holidays. But one family said, Christmas is not about food or presents it is about being together with friends, family and sharing what we have with the less fortunate ones. Most importantly showing love just as Jesus taught. Let your heart be Christmas everyday!

A Christmas Wish By Adwoba Addo-Boateng

Nathan wished for a coat this Christmas, but his parents could not afford it. He knew, he was not having the coat and he was very sad about it. On Christmas day, Nathan was sitting alone in his porch, overlooking the streets. He saw an old man struggling with his luggage. He realized the luggage was too heavy for the old man to carry, but he could care less. He is not happy so why help someone, he thought to himself. Suddenly, a still small voice said, “Go help the old man with his luggage. It is better to be kind than to be right. Reluctantly, Nathan dashed down the stairs and he met the old man at the pavement. Nathan helped the old man with his luggage, Nathan carried the old man’s luggage till the old man got to his doorstep. The old man smiled. The old man told Nathan to wait outside. He went in and gave Nathan a gift. What could be inside the box? Nathan thought. He had no clue. He ran down the streets into his home. His parents were in the living room when he arrived. They helped Nathan open his gift and it was the same coat he had always wanted. What a great surprise! It was really a Christmas Wish come true.

The Christmas Prayer By Ohemaa Addo-Boateng There was a girl called Lin. Lin was a sweet little girl, and she likes Christmas. Lin likes Christmas so much that on every Christmas she gets so excited. On Christmas eve, Lin’s excitement landed her in trouble. She broke her leg. Lin was so sad! Was she going to miss her best holiday? Lin was really sad as she had to spend the night in the hospital. As Lin was about to sleep, she prayed to God and asked for a miracle. God answered Lin’s prayer and was miraculously healed the following morning. The doctor couldn’t believe that Lin was healed by God. When Lin’s mother visited Lin the following morning, she was surprised to see her little girl walking and jumping about. Her mother was so happy and even cried, it was tears of joy. Mother and daughter went home, and they had a beautiful Christmas. The end Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
