P & F ASSOCIATION
Hillcrest Christian College has an active Parents & Friends Association, who recognise and value the roles that parents and carers play in the education of their children. The P&F aims to strengthen this partnerships between families, the College and the wider community for the benefit of our children’s development and learning.
Throughout the year, the P&F strives to create a sense of belonging for College families, coordinates social and other activities that celebrate the achievements of our students and College, and support Hillcrest by using funds to enhance the experience of our students.
P&F General Meetings
P&F General Meetings are held every term and all Hillcrest families are part of the P&F Association. We encourage you to attend, either in person, or via our live streaming option. It is a great way to be involved, meet other families and speak directly to the Executive. All meetings are advertised in the College calendar and in our Facebook group. We hope to see you there!
Class Representatives
The P&F work together with Class Parents to keep our College updated with community events, and to nurture and support our class families.
New Parents Dinner
Our New Parents Dinner is an annual event held in Term 1 each year, where Executive and the P&F connect with families over a delicious
catered dinner in the SLC Courtyard. It is a perfect time to welcome and meet new families who have joined the College in the last year while listening to our very talented student musicians.
Grandparents Day
One of largest events is the much anticipated Grandparents Day, where we have the honour of serving our beloved grandparents morning tea.
Mothers & Father’s Day Stalls
The P&F facilitate both the Mother and Father’s Day Stalls each year Keep an eye out for our wrapping bees as they are a great social event to meet other parents and support the P&F.
P&F Social Events
The P&F generally hold a ‘the ‘Funtastic Fete biennially with the Christmas Wonderland being held in alternative years most recently. 2024 saw the spectacular Christmas Wonderland event where community came together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
P&F Contributions
Every year the P&F votes on a large project to assist the College. We also fund Teacher Grants where teachers have the opportunity to apply for funds related to a passion or identified need. Previously we have funded RC Sets, sporting equipment, Science Clubs, books and Art projects.
We appreciate every person who has served alongside the Committee and acknowledge the success of our events thanks to the support of the College and its wider community.
