SMART SUMMER READING PROGRAM

The Dallas Public Library is offering free activities for families throughout the summer, including the reading program with Mayor Eric Johnson. Children and teens who read at least 20 minutes a day can earn prizes. After 10 days of reading, a free book is earned. Each time the 10-day mark is reached, prizes are earned, up to five times. Adults can also read to earn prizes by reading for at least one hour a day. At the 20-day mark, adults can earn a free book. Anyone who reads at least 50 days by Aug. 13 will be entered into a drawing to win one of the grand prizes, including a 43-inch Roku TV, a Huffy 12V ATV, Pocket Mod

Audelia Road Branch Library

The Audelia Road Branch Library has free weekly activities for families in June. Enjoy toddler story time at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday. Seniors can participate in a coffee club at 9 a.m. every Thursday. There’s a yoga and meditation class each Friday at noon.
