URBAN CENTERS OF INFLUENCE GOAL: PLANT NEW GROUPS OF BELIEVERS IN CITIES OF 1 MILLION+ PEOPLE

Matias Vigil, manager of an Urban Center of Influence in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay, places a high value on developing relationships. You can often see him praying with someone or simply lending a listening ear.

Happy Hand, an Urban Center of Influence in Copenhagen, Denmark, provides many services and activities for the community such as free concerts, tutoring for schoolchildren, and workshops on bullying, self-worth, depression, and anxiety.

THESE URBAN CENTERS OF INFLUENCE ARE SUCCEEDING BECAUSE MEMBERS LIKE YOU ARE GETTING INVOLVED BY ACTIVELY SUPPORTING GLOBAL MISSION.

More than 100 years ago, Ellen White championed a model for urban outreach that she called centers of influence: small platforms for launching Christ’s method of ministry and connecting to city communities.

Today Global Mission has helped establish nearly 50 Urban Centers of Influence (UCIs) around the world to minister to people’s physical and spiritual needs, lead people to Jesus, and plant new groups of believers. These UCIs include: Assimilation centers to help refugees adjust to a new culture, Cafés, juice bars, and cooking classes to serve health-conscious urbanites and share the health message After-school childcare to assist working parents Secondhand shops to aid budget-conscious city-dwellers

GLOBAL MISSION PIONEERS GOAL: PLANT NEW GROUPS OF BELIEVERS AMONG UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUPS LIVING IN THE 10/40 WINDOW.

Kamala is a Global Mission Pioneer who is gladly sacrificing her time and energy by starting a new group of believers in an unreached neighborhood in New Delhi, India.

Thanks to generous donors, Global Mission supports thousands of local people in starting new groups of believers among people groups where there is no Adventist presence. These frontline missionaries, called Global Mission pioneers, move into a community, build relationships, meet needs, and eventually disciple new groups of believers.

Pioneers follow what Ellen White called Christ’s method: sharing the good news of Jesus through wholistic ministry such as providing medical care, teaching agricultural skills, offering literacy programs, holding evangelistic meetings, and giving Bible studies.

Partner with us to send a Global Mission pioneer to unreached people by funding training, Bibles, transportation, literature, basic medical and agricultural kits, picture rolls, and other resources.
