A mosaic of retail theft in Shepparton By Aaron Cordy VICTORIAN Police undertook Operation Mosaic, targeting retail theft at Bunnings and Coles in Shepparton and Kialla, across Saturday and Sunday, December 13 and 14, catching 11 people stealing from the retail chains. “Retail theft is not a victimless crime. We know it makes staff feel unsafe, but it also impacts the ability for small independent businesses to make a living,” said Proactive Policing Unit Senior Sergeant Shane Biderman. Continued Page 19

and their family recognises decades of support for local health services and will see the new facility named the Peter C opu los Ca ncer C ent re , honou ri ng a family whose name has long been synonymous with cancer care in the region GV Health confirmed the new ICC will be built on site at Shepparton Hospital,
with Stage 1 of the project expected to commence in 2027, supported by $30M in Federal Government funding. While Stage 1 will expand existing cancer services and improve facilities, a fully funded Stage 2 would be required to bring all cancer services under one roof, including chemotherapy, radiation oncology, specialist clinics, wellness programs and supportive care. Mr Copulos said his family’s longstanding connection to GV Health and personal experiences with cancer had driven their decision to support the project. Continued Page 6
