By David Lee A BRAND new permanent exhibit will open to the public at the Shepparton Motor Museum this weekend, showcasing the history of the iconic Furphy name, business and story and coincidentally will help to celebrate the Furphy family’s 150th year in business. Following the historical journey started by John Furphy in 1873 right up to the current, modern day operations of Furphy Foundry and J Furphy and Sons, the exhibit will see its ‘grand opening’ in October. $3M donation a win for community Copulos family supports arts and health By David Lee A NEW location for Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) is now a surety and a major boost for health services will be offered after
the announcement was made last week the Copulos family, through the Peter and Maria Copulos Foundation, would pledge $3M toward the projects over the coming 10 years.
The Copulos family announced $1.5M would be donated to improve health services across the region, through a consideration process where requests can be made for donations by local charities who have Item 1 DGR (deductible gift recipient) status under Continued on page 14 tax legislation.
