$43.6M housing boom
CONSTRUCTION BOOM… Construction of residential buildings in the Greater Shepparton area is booming, with more than 173 homes totalling $43,664,147 being constructed from July 1, 2013 through to December 2014.
2014/15 market trend to see continued growth IT’S clear that the Greater Shepparton housing market is thriving, with an abundance of new housing estates shooting up across the region and house and land packages being snapped up. This housing boom is an indication that confidence in the region is strong and predictions show that the trend is set to continue to grow coming into the new financial year. Current figures for the state show that a 2.5 percent increase in new dwellings occurred during the 2013/14 year, with the outlook seeing a further 7.3 percent increase in the 2014/15 financial year. • See page 12 to read more about the developments that have taken place over the past 20 months in the region.
