Cape Disappointment

Located in Southern Washington near the mouth of the Columbia River, Cape Disappointment is one of my favorite places to visit during the winter storm surf season. On this day, I arrived very early to ensure I beat the crowds of photographers who had made the Cape a pilgrimage site. My reward was solitude, witnessing a spectacular sunrise accompanied by the crashing of the incoming waves. As always, Cape Disappointment did not disappoint!
