REDSTONE ARSENAL, Alabama U.S. Army Materiel Command officials are now calling for nominations for the 2016 Army’s Greatest Innovation Awards. The Army’s Greatest Innovation Awards Program annually recognizes groundbreaking new technologies and inventions, as well as techniques, procedures and methodologies developed by the Army’s Research and Development and Science and Technology communities and Soldiers in the field. Within the program, the Maj. Gen. Harold J. Greene Award for Innovation is awarded for innovations that greatly enhance the Army’s overall readiness while positively impacting Soldier performance. The program’s award was named
in honor of Greene, who served in several leadership positions in Army research, development and acquisition fields before he was killed in combat in Afghanistan in 2014. The award is given in three different categories: militaryindividual, civilianindividual, and group. The program is managed by the U.S. Army Materiel Command under the lead of its chief technology officer and awards a first place winner each spring. “This award recognizes the dedicated efforts of our Army Soldiers, Civilians, and teams thereof to improve our Army’s capabilities and overall readiness,” said AMC Chief Technology Officer Patrick O’Neill. “The fiscal year 2015 winners were a true representation of the Army-wide effort to provide the best, most effective, technologies and process improvements to our
Soldiers,” O’Neill said. “We look forward to a strong response across the Army to the FY 2016 iteration of the program.” Past winners included programs that enhanced Soldier survivability, improved Soldier protection, and decreased the response time for battlefield training gear troubleshooting. The nomination submission window for technologies or processes first fielded, adopted, or implemented in fiscal year 2016 opens Oct. 15, 2016, and closes Jan. 15, 2017. Winners will be announced in March 2017 at the Association of the United States Army’s Global Force Symposium in Huntsville, Alabama. DOT bans all Samsung Galaxy Note7 phones from airplanes What air travelers should know •

charge the device while aboard the aircraft, protect the device from accidental activation, including disabling any features that may turn on the device, such as alarm clocks, and keep the device on their person and not in the overhead compartment, seat back pocket, nor in any carry-on baggage, for the duration of the flight. The Samsung Galaxy Note7 device is considered a forbidden hazardous material under the Federal Hazardous Material Regulations (HMR; 49 CFR Parts 171-185), which forbid airline passengers or crew from traveling with lithium cells or batteries or portable electronic devices that are likely to generate a dangerous evolution of heat. PHMSA has issued a special permit to Samsung to facilitate commercial shipment of the recalled devices by ground transportation. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), announced it is issuing an emergency order to ban all Samsung Galaxy Note7 smartphone devices from air transportation in the United States. Individuals who own or possess a Samsung Galaxy Note7 device may not transport the device on their person, in carry-on baggage, or in checked baggage on flights to, from, or within the United States. This prohibition includes all Samsung Galaxy Note7 devices. The phones also cannot be shipped as air cargo. The ban was effective on Saturday, October 15, 2016. “We recognize that banning these phones from airlines will inconvenience some passengers, but the safety of all those aboard an aircraft must take priority,” said Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx. “We are taking this additional step because even one fire incident inflight poses a high risk of severe personal injury and puts many lives at risk.” Device owners have experienced documented incidents of dangerous evolution of heat with both recalled and replacement Samsung Galaxy Note7 devices. Samsung and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) acknowledged this imminent safety hazard with the company’s September 15, 2016 and October 13, 2016 recalls. Additionally, on October 11, 2016, Samsung suspended the manufacture and sale of the Samsung Galaxy Note7 device. “The fire hazard with the original Note7 and with the replacement Note7 is simply too great for anyone to risk it and not respond to this official recall,” said CPSC Chairman Elliot F. Kaye. “I would like to remind consumers once again to
take advantage of the remedies offered, including a full refund. It’s the right thing to do and the safest thing to do.”

Gen. Curtis M. Scaparrotti, commander U.S. European Command, was an honored guest and speaker at the event along with Ambassador John B. Emerson, U.S. Embassy Berlin, Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann, the Chairman of the Munich Security Conference Wolfgang Ischinger, former German Ambassador to the United States, and Dr. Rudolf Böhmler, chairman of the board of the DAZ. All speakers gave an overview on German-American relations following World War II. On that day, amidst the rubble and despair of postwar Germany, Secretary Byrnes helped to set the course for a new way forward… Today, in all 16 ‘Bundesländer,’ or federal states, ‘Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit’ are givens. According to numerous financial and business publications and personal accounts, volunteering, or interning, is described as an important avenue to gain or improve skills and work experiences. Volunteering has proven to also open new doors for employment opportunities. Rosario Seelen, American Red Cross Dental Clinic program lead, aims to encourage fellow military spouses and dependents struggling to find a job in their profession or degree field, to volunteer. “Sometimes it’s not all about the additional income. There’s a sense of reward that when we do for others with nothing more than a giving spirit, it is more valuable and rewarding than a pay check.” Volunteering through the American Red Cross in Stuttgart, Seelen is
currently building her professional resume in the dental field. “Now that I have the dental assistant experience, and vast opportunities through the American Red Cross, I’m gaining more marketable skills, networking, knowledge and experience.” Although this is not always what she envisioned herself doing for a career, Seelen expresses great gratitude for the opportunities given within the military community. “The challenge of no or little choices/opportunities to compete for a job has forced me to think ‘outside the box’ and step out in uncharted territory. It’s scary, yet exciting at the same time and it’s neat to see how those opportunities weave themselves together,” said Seelen. Her advice to other military spouses is to strive to always “think outside the box,” looking beyond and being smart about the options available. “Each day is a new day to begin again… be positive and keep on keeping on,” said Seelen. Though the hiring process can be tough overseas, USAJOBS is the central site for government positions where spouses and dependents can watch for openings. Seelen recommends using the free resources available through

ARTA PLAGE, Djibouti — Approximately 46 U.S. Army Soldiers with 1st Battalion, 124th Infantry Regiment, assigned to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, along with French Marines completed the French Marine Desert Survival Course, Oct. 12, 2016, at Arta Plage, Djibouti. The soldiers and French Marines came together during the French-led course to learn desert survival skills and operational techniques in Arta’s austere environment, so as to better prepare for future real world situations. During the survival course, the U.S. and French participants completed several tasks including desert operations, combat lifesaving skills, weapons training, survival cooking, how to decontaminate water, and water and mountain obstacle courses. “The main focus is combined arms tactical training, which is 70 percent of the course,” said French Capt. Charles Lenoir, French Desert Survival Course head instructor. “Then, 15-20 percent is obstacle course training — or what we call “commando”-type training. The other 10 percent is desert survival course, which goes over how to survive, how to prepare meals, and how to make a fire and water in desert conditions.” When the U.S. soldiers arrived, they were embedded with French infantry and cavalry units, and began their first four days of training in desert operations. There they set up a forward operating base, defensive positions, and conducted patrols. During their time in the mountain phase,
they also reacted to simulated enemy contact and tested their reaction to ambush situations, said U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Jack Najjar, French Desert Survival Course instructor. Upon completion of the desert mountain phase, the teams made their way to Arta Plage where they completed desert survival training, combat lifesaving skills, and the water and mountain obstacle courses. “The combat and obstacle phase gets people to do teamwork, and [it puts] them through an effort,” said Lenoir. “And with the U.S., it’s a good experience to work with our allied forces so we do it as much as we can.” On top of the U.S. soldiers learning the tactical techniques of the French Marines, they are also learned the French language. “I started with pointing and waving. And now, with the same obstacle every day, when (the instruction is given) in French, I know exactly what he is talking about,” said Najjar. “The French have been outstanding people, even with the language barrier. At the end of the day you will see (U.S. and French) sitting together, trading Meals, Readyto-Eat, and somehow communicating.” Although the course’s training focused primarily on U.S. soldiers learning French tactics, Najjar said, the French instructors also enjoyed learning some of the Americans’ tactics, as well. “It’s great we’re doing (the course), because they are learning our way of doing things, and we are learning their way of doing things. And that improves the whole relationship between the U.S. and French Marines right here in HOA,” Najjar said.

YAVORIV, Ukraine — Soldiers from 7th Army Training Command trained 12 Ukrainian cadre on how to prepare and conduct classes during a Ukrainian Basic Instructor Course here, October 12. The UBIC is based on the Army’s own basic instructor course. During the three-day course, students learned how to prepare and present tasks and were evaluated on whether they performed the tasks to standard. They also learned how to develop questions and review lesson plans. “The main goal is to ensure that they (Ukrainians) are conducting the instructions properly,” said Staff Sgt. Ryan Meek, an instructor evaluator with 7th ATC. “And answering any questions that they may have while they are going through the instruction.” Meek said, the course is designed to make sure the Ukrainian instructors are on the same page to ensure they have a standardized process of conducting the training. During the course, Ukrainian students had the opportunity to instruct for the first time. The student-instructor would teach a particular task and then conduct a check on learning by testing his fellow students. The instructor/evaluators would then review the performance after every session. “It is important to teach the class,” said Junior Lt. Bohdan, a Ukrainian instructor. “And even more important to have the AAR (After Action Review) at the end of each class, so the students understand their shortcomings and work on it,” Staff Sgt. John Basileo, an instructor/ evaluator with 7th ATC said, the secret to being a good instructor is having the drive to teach and develop people. “If an instructor has the passion to take a student from point A which is no knowledge at all, to point B, which is the end result where they have all the knowledge and tools to apply it, that is definitely the right path to becoming one of the best instructors,” he said. According to Bohdan, Meek and Basileo did a great job professionally in assisting the students and answered every question they asked during the course. “The instructors and students responded positively during the course,” Bohdan said “They were motivated and focused throughout the course, because they understood that the basic instructor skills will make a huge impact in the future of the Ukrainian Army.” The Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine is focused on training Ukrainian Soldiers while simultaneously helping to build an enduring and sustainable training capacity within Ukraine.

Cuban cigar ban relaxed for US citizens overseas By Robert Szostek USEUCOM Customs PAO
Persons subject to U.S. jurisdiction may now buy Cuban-origin merchandise, including alcohol and tobacco products, while in a third country for personal consumption. These products may be consumed while in a third country or imported into the United States as accompanied baggage. “Other countries do not ban Cuban products and items such as Cuban cigars or rum have been on sale all over Europe for years,” said Tim Sellman, director of the U.S. European Command Customs and Border Clearance Agency. Now, new changes to the Cuban Assets Control Regulations mean that U.S. citizens can legally consume these products while overseas or take them to the U.S. subject to the same limits as for any other foreign-made items. As an American living overseas, you can claim either “returning

resident” or “nonresident” exemptions with customs when traveling on leave or TDY. “These exemptions apply to the foreign-made items you bought overseas,” Sellman added. Under the “nonresident” exemption, all personal effects are duty-free
but you have to bring them back to Europe with you when you return. “A nonresident may also import $100-worth of foreign-made goods duty-free as gifts, one liter of alcoholic beverages, and either 200 cigarettes, 50 cigars or two kilograms of
smoking tobacco for personal use,” Sellman explained. An additional 100 cigars may be taken under the gift exemption. As “returning residents,” travelers can take foreign-made items to the States but only the first $800 of their value would be duty-free. This applies to each family member, so a family of two would have a $1600 exemption. The advantage is that these articles can remain in the States. Gifts, one liter of alcoholic beverages, and no more than 100 cigars and 200 cigarettes may also be included in the $800 exemption. To import duty-free alcohol, travelers must be at least 21 years old, intend to consume it for personal use and not violate the laws of the state in which they arrive. State Department tips to make holiday travels safe

The holidays are a good time to explore Europe. The odds are you will have a safe trip. Travelers can, however, become victims of crime and violence, or experience unexpected difficulties. No one is better able to tell you this than the U.S. consular officers who work in more than 250 U.S. embassies and consulates around the globe. Every day of the year, U.S. embassies and consulates receive
calls from American citizens in distress. The U.S. Department of State offers the following travel tips to help you avoid serious difficulties during your travels.
Safety on the Street
Use the same common sense traveling abroad that you would at home. Be especially cautious in (or avoid) areas where you may be more easily victimized. These include crowded subways, train stations, elevators, tourist sites, market places, festivals and crime-ridden neighborhoods. • Don’t use short cuts, narrow alleys or poorly lit streets. • Try not to travel alone at night. • Avoid public demonstrations and other civil disturbances. • Keep a low profile and avoid

loud conversations or arguments. Do not discuss travel plans or other personal matters with strangers. Avoid scam artists by being wary of strangers who approach you and offer to be your guide or sell you something at bargain prices. Beware of pickpockets. They often have an accomplice who will: jostle you, ask you for directions or the time, point to something spilled on your clothing, or distract you by creating a disturbance. Beware of groups of vagrant children who could create a distraction to pick your pocket. Wear the shoulder strap of your bag across your chest and walk with the bag away from the curb to avoid drive-by purse-snatchers. Try to seem purposeful when you move about. Even if you are lost, act as if you know where you are

going. Try to ask for directions only from individuals in authority. Know how to use a pay telephone and have the proper change or token on hand. Learn a few phrases in the local language or have them handy in written form so that you can signal your need for police or medical help. Make a note of emergency telephone numbers you may need: police, fire, your hotel, and the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. If you are confronted, don’t fight back — give up your valuables.
It is a good idea to sign up for the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program — think of it as checking in — so that you may be contacted if need be, whether because of a family emergency in the U.S., or because of a crisis in the area in which you are traveling. It is a free service provided by the State Department, and is easily accomplished online.

The U.S. military continues to expand on the progress being made for thousands of sexual assault victims by giving them a voice in the criminal investigation and prosecutorial systems. Among the Army’s efforts to combat sexual assault in the ranks, the Special Victim Counsel Program was developed to strengthen the support of sexual assault victims and enhance their rights within the military justice system. Special victims counselors are specially trained military attorneys, duty-bound to work for no one but the victim through the military justice process. Working with a robust support system of victim advocates and victim witness liaisons, they assist in ensuring that victims fully understand their rights throughout the military investigative, judicial and legal administrative process. “It can be difficult to prosecute sex crimes in the military because of the fear of retribution and the stress of the judicial process; it can be too long and traumatic,” said Capt. Renee Darville, Northern Law Center client services
chief. “So the Army said, ‘Let’s give the victim an attorney. Give them a voice and agency to determine what level they want to participate in, and help them feel more in control in the process.’” According to the Department of Defense, victims must be confident that, should they report, they will be treated fairly. Part of that fair treatment is to ensure they know and can exercise their rights. “I am an attorney specifically for the victim,” Darville said. “I have 100-percent confidentiality. I am the victims’ buffer and voice. I am here to help them heal but also by building victims’ trust in the system, we hope they’ll be more willing to report offenders.” The DOD received a total of 6,083 reports of sexual assault for allegations involving service members, according to the FY 15 Department of Defense annual report on sexual assault in the military. Despite the substantial increase in reporting over the past 10 years, a significant number of sexual assaults go unreported each year. Only 23 percent of the estimated 20,300 service member victims who indicated experiencing a sexual assault reported the crime.
Focus group participants discussed likely reasons for not reporting an incident of sexual assault including fear of negative reactions from peers, impact on reputation, and concern of possible repercussions for collateral misconduct. To combat this, the military added a requirement for victims to be provided with an explanation of the right to consult with an SVC and the availability of other legal assistance. Victims must receive this explanation at the time they initially report a sexual assault. In addition, no one in a victim’s chain of command or the accused’s chain of command will influence an SVC in providing legal support to a victim. “Our efforts are having an impact, but there are still many hurdles to overcomes,” said Army Maj. Gen. Camille Nichols, director of the Department of Defense Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office. “Reporting the crime is essential for our ability to bring care and advocacy to survivors, and hold offenders appropriately accountable.” The 2015 Military Investigation and Justice Experience Survey, which obtained survivor feedback about participating in the military justice
process, showed that most respondents were highly satisfied with the support they received. Seventy-seven percent said they would recommend other survivors come forward to report sexual assault. It is imperative Army leaders and Soldiers, especially sexual assault victims, have confidence in the military justice system, the annual report said. Instilling trust and inspiring victims to report sexual offenses will assist the military in achieving the cultural change it desires. Until then? “[JAG] is a safe space,” Darville said. “People come to legal assistance every day for all kinds of reasons so a victim does not have to worry about disclosing why they are here. People can access me without that fear.” She added, “It is never too early or too late to reach out; I can support at any point in the process.” Members of the DOD community who have been affected by sexual assault can access 24/7, confidential, anonymous support through the DOD Safe Helpline at www.safehelpline.org, by calling 877-995-5247.

National American Indian Heritage Month begins each year on November 1st to celebrate and recognize the accomplishments of this country’s original inhabitants, explorers and settlers. The National American Indian Heritage Month observance is used to increase cultural awareness among Soldiers, their families, and civilian employees and recognize the achievements and contributions made by Native Americans in our society, our military, and our nation. Throughout our Army’s 241-year history, American Indians have served valiantly and with distinction in times of peace and war, while also fighting for the right to be an equal part of our nation. We recognize their rich heritage and honor their spirit and true devotion to our country. Army leadership has asked the entire Army family to give sincere thanks and appreciation for the past and present contributions American Indian Soldiers, civilians and family members have made. SHS students have chance to meet college representatives By Sam Funk Stuttgart High School Student
The annual Stuttgart High School College Fair was Friday, September 30th kicking-off at 5:30 p.m. with nearly 500 SHS college ready students rushing into the school ready to meet college representatives and learn more about the schools. In total there were 69 colleges, 42 were American college representatives or college alumni; 19 European universities; ten scholarship programs; and, eight virtual (online live) colleges. Every college had excellent information to entice the young minds of students into a possible future at their college. School Liaison Officer for Stuttgart High, Joe Holder, was responsible for making the event a success. Why do we have college fair in the first place, why can’t students just do college research on their own? Holder answered that question and put to doubt any reason not to. “It’s about giving high school students and their parents the opportunity to talk to colleges about their degree programs since we live overseas and are unable to speak to them. This also gives them the chance to see colleges they would not normally think about. Holder explained that the fair gives “students and parents access to a wide range of colleges from the U.S. and Europe which is normally not available.” Division 1, and Division 3 schools from the U.S. were represented. College representatives discussed programs, tuition, and what to expect in their college experience once they graduate from high school. There is a college somewhere that is perfect for each student. “The Stuttgart High School Hybrid College Fair gives students the opportunity to explore their options,” Holder said. Holder gave students the chance to win gift cards if they met a certain amount of colleges and talked to them. The winners were: Jakob Gonzales $200, Jonathan Parsons $150, Fallon Dickinson $100, Bethany Hammari, Samuel Funk, Alexandra Konstrotter were all awarded $75, Sarah Miles, Eileen Dickinson, Malia Hammari, Loran Oswalt, Nicole Hinchcliff, Danilo Penman, and Gage Hooper received $50. Sam Funk is currently attending Stuttgart High School as a Senior and will graduate with the class of 2017. Afterward, he plans on attending Oregon University in Eugene, Oregon, Emerson College Boston, Massachusetts, or Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York and studying in the journalism field.

The U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart held its annual force protection exercise, Stallion Shake, in partnership with the Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH, or Stuttgart Airport, Oct. 22, at the airport and at Stuttgart Army Airfield. The U.S. military provides support in emergency management all around the world, but if a disaster were to strike on one of the five military installations in Stuttgart, German host nation first responders would take the lead working together with U.S. personnel, and various volunteer response teams. This was the first time the garrison has partnered with the Stuttgart Airport to conduct such a simulated emergency incident response training. “Stallion Shake is our full-scale exercise in which we test our capability on how we would handle any type of emergency response situation that would happen within our garrison footprint. Each year, we train on a different installation. The importance is really how we work together; our garrison emergency response with our host nation emergency response,” said USAG Stuttgart Commander Col. Glenn K. Dickenson. Typically, guidance for a military
garrison full-scale exercise is provided by the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program. Stuttgart Airport’s bi-annual requirements fall in accordance with the International Organization for Air Transport (ICAO). In addition to Defense Department evaluators from Vicenza, Italy, the U.S. Army Europe Deputy Commanding General for the Army National Guard, Maj. Gen. John L. Gronski, also attended to observe the events. Stallion Shake 2016 was designed to assess various aspects of the garrison’s emergency management plan, to include communications, random antiterrorism measures, intelligence information sharing, analysis and the AtHoc emergency mass notification system. The scenario began for USAG Stuttgart personnel the evening prior to the exercise with a terrorist threat that raised the Force Protection Conditions (FPCON), and triggered the need to increase security measures at each of the installation access control points. The garrison also deployed an AtHoc recall message to stand up an Emergency Operations Center to monitor the situation. The EOC is made up of trained personnel from each directorate of the garrison to ensure communication flows
through the proper command channels in any emergency situation. “AtHoc messages do not just go out – it creates a dynamic that is internal to the garrison to handle any threat that may arise. We all kick into emergency process mode thinking about what we need to do next,” said Daniel W. Spencer of USAG Stuttgart’s Protection Branch. The events following covered multiple separate training incidents: weather, aircraft inflight emergency, diversion and crash including fire and multi-national passenger evacuation. Minutes after the crash on the airfield was reported, host nation airport first-responders arrived on scene to extinguish the fire and initiate the rescue and care of the 40 passengers (volunteer actors with simulated injuries) on board. During this training scenario, the cause of the crash for airport personnel was an obstruction within the plane, such as birds in flight; while for USAG Stuttgart, the incident followed requirements for a terrorist attack. “Today, we are practicing an aircraft that has had an inflight problem and crashed on the runway. The international airport fire department, our garrison fire department as well as other emergency personnel responded and collectively worked together,”
Dickenson said. The exercise involved a variety of German and American participants to include: USAG Stuttgart’s Directorate of Emergency Services (Military Police and firefighters), the 66th Military Intelligence Criminal Investigation Detachment, the District Government Stuttgart, the Stuttgart Airport Fire Department, Esslingen County and City of Stuttgart fire departments, Police Department Reutlingen, volunteer emergency services departments to include the German Red Cross Esslingen-Nürtingen and the German Red Cross Stuttgart. “It’s critical how well we can communicate back and forth to support each other,” Dickenson said. At the conclusion of the exercise, Dickenson emphasized how the flow of information and interaction between participants improved in comparison to last year. “The intent is to keep the strong relations with the civilian airport fire department…and to continue to improve relations with authorities from Esslingen County and townships surrounding SAAF,” said Karl Dörsam, USAG Stuttgart’s fire chief. Pumpkins make a cheesecake incredibly moist. This cheesecake will stay moist for days in the refrigerator. The flavors of both the cream cheese and pumpkin shine through. One warning: if you bake the pumpkin cheesecake without a water bath it will likely crack on the top. I’m ok with this; I Ingredients Crust: 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon of ground mace 4 ounces of melted butter

Filling: One small to medium pie pumpkin (it will need to produce 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cups of cooked pumpkin purée) 24 ounces of cream cheese (cultured cream cheese adds the most flavor, if you can get it) 3 whole large chicken eggs plus one yolk 1/4 cup of full-fat sour cream 1/2 cup of white sugar 1/2 cup of brown sugar 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon of ground mace 1/8 teaspoon of sea salt 1/8 teaspoon of ground cloves 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract Directions Heat your toaster oven to 450 degrees F. Split the pie pumpkin in half and remove the seeds and stringy stuff. Rub each pumpkin half lightly with the oil of your choice (walnut oil works well for this). Bake until the pumpkin is soft all the way through, this should take about 45 minutes. Cool slightly, then scoop out the cooked pumpkin flesh and purée it in your food processor. Set aside. Decrease your toaster oven temperature to 350 degrees F. Combine the graham cracker crumbs, ground cinnamon, ground mace and melted butter in a medium mixing bowl. Mix well. Press into the bottom of a greased 9 inch springform

Put the cream cheese into a stand mixer fitted with the beater paddle. Beat until completely smooth. Add the pumpkin puree. Beat till smooth and combined. Add the eggs and the yolk one at a time, beating between each addition. Add the sour cream, beat again. Add the sugar, beat again. Add the brown sugar, beat again. Add the cinnamon, mace, cloves, sea salt, flour and pure vanilla extract. Beat again. Pour the filling into the prepared crust. Bake for one hour, rotating it halfway after 30 minutes. Turn the toaster oven off, but don’t open it and leave the cheesecake in the toaster oven for an additional 30 minutes. Remove from the toaster oven and let cool at room temperature for 2 hours. Wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 5 hours. Tips And Suggestions Check out my other articles to find a recipe for homemade whole grain graham crackers. They make excellent crumbs for the crust. Put a small cup (oven proof of course) of water in the corner of your toaster oven while baking the cheesecake. This will minimize, but not eliminate, the cracks. Selling my 1986 classic mini cooper 1000. This is a left hand drive model with rare automatic transmission. The mini has its original 998 engine and interior. This mini can be shipped to the U.S. The mini has pass inspection and also has a green 4 emission sticker. A very fun little car that has been well maintained over the years. The automatic transmission makes the mini fun to drive in cities.
