Adamson University Senior High School holds its

Commencement Exercises By Shenna Mae Iyog

Last 15th of May 2019, Grade 12 students of Adamson University celebrated both an astounding achievement and an incredible new milestone which is their Graduation Day with the theme “Strengthening Excellence in Education for a Sustainable future� at the Plenary Hall, PICC in Manila, Philippines. The most anticipated event of every grade 12 student has come, all efforts and hard work proved to be worth it at the very end for they are finally taking the next big step. The graduation ceremony was set at the Plenary Hall in the Philippine International Convention Center on May 15, 2019 from 7 am to 5 pm. Mr. Daniel Day V. Aguillon headed the ceremony for the morning session and Mr. Luis Magtira did it for the afternoon rites. The ceremony kicked off with the assembly followed by the procession of the graduates. After the preliminaries have occurred, the eucharistic celebration took place, led by Rev. Fr. Agustin A. Advincula, C.M. Following the mass is the Academic Procession followed, graced by the various heads of Adamson University such as the PTA President, AUAII President, Student Discipline

Coordinators, SHS Academic Head, BED Principal, SHS Principal, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Guest Speaker and the University President. Once that was done, the entrance of colors took place, led by the ROTC Unit of Adamson University. The graduates were presented by the Senior High School Principal, Dr. Lorna A. Espeso, followed by the confirmation of graduates which was done by the University President, Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, CM. Mrs. Elizabeth SeechungAndojar, CPA, an alumna of the university, delivered the commencement address to the graduates. The distribution of diplomas and awards followed shortly and was led by the President of Adamson University, Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, CM.

After the diplomas and awards were distributed, Ms. Raven I. Dela Cruz, an outstanding student from the senior high school body and was awarded with High Honors, delivered the words of gratitude in behalf of the whole student body. The Pledge of Loyalty came next which was led by Engr. Hubert Q. Temprosa, President of the Adamson University Alumni Association. The ceremony concluded through the singing of the Adamson University Hymn followed by the recessional of the university officials, guests of honor, faculty members and graduates. The fresh graduates left the venue with mixed emotions having to leave their beloved friends and professors, but with enlightened and fired up spirits, ready to take on the next challenges and obstacles thrown at their way.
