Talent Profile: Career Preferences
The Career Preferences section of your Talent Profile is a statement of which development goals, both short-term and long-term, you intend to pursue. While different than your Individual Development Plan (IDP), this section should broadly reflect what is in your IDP. This section also describes which job or geographical changes you are open to.
Overall Career Goals
In this section, state your overall career goals – both for the near-term and long-term. This section should be updated as you complete your goals and create new ones. The nearterm goals should support the development of skills and provide experience that leads to accomplishment of your long-term goals. Examples include:
▪ 1-2 Year Goals o Play a key role on a project management team that develops new processes and tactics leading to increased enrollment. o Take on 1 to 2 stretch assignments with the CRC and Talent Acquisition. o Obtain a professional certification in the field I am in or want to transition to.
▪ Long-Term Goals o Step into a people management role within my current department. o Achieve a director-level position that allows me to influence people and teams. o Obtain a graduate degree from an Adtalem institution or EdAssist institution.
Willing to Transfer
Add different Adtalem institutions or functions you’d be willing to transfer to.
Willing to Relocate
Indicate whether you are interested in relocating for a position and where to.
