AFFECTED APARTMENTS: ALL Falkirk Apartments in buildings 14 & 15 • Falkirk Apartments 10B, 10C, 10F, 10G ALL Glen Mor Apartments in buildings A & B Large-scale projects at Falkirk and Glen Mor will impact your apartment this summer.

Please read the information below prior to the start of the Lease Renewal Program on January 23.

1. What is happening at Falkirk and glen mor, and why?

At Falkirk, major renovations were started pre-pandemic. It continues to be our highest priority to address seismic, plumbing, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and safety components, many of which are required by State Code. This large undertaking has been divided into phases to help minimize the impact on residents.

At Glen Mor, the hot water heaters/ storage tanks for both building A and B are compromised and nearing the end of their life expectancy. By replacing them during the summer, we avoid the risk of them failing during the academic year when buildings are full and the impacts much greater.

Our goal with large-scale renovation and maintenance projects such as these is to keep these popular communities viable for the foreseeable future.

2. How does this affect me?

Regrettably, this summer’s projects will directly impact your apartment. Due to the extensive nature of the repairs, you will NOT be able to remain in your current space for the coming summer (July 1 through September 20). But you will have a number of options during the upcoming Lease Renewal Program, as outlined in this brochure. However, all options require you to completely vacate yourself and your belongings from your current apartment on your June 30 contract expiration date.

3. If I still have questions after reading this brochure, who can I contact?

We highly suggest that you visit us inperson at the Housing Administration Building during business hours, Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm. You may also contact us at housinginfo@ucr.edu or (951) 827-6350. However, these last two methods are typically highly impacted and response time will be slower.

OK, I HAVE TO MOVE. WHAT ARE MY CAMPUS HOUSING OPTIONS? You will see several options available to you when you log into the MyHousing portal on January 23. A summary of your choices are included in a table in this brochure.

NOTE: ALL three options require you to completely vacate your current apartment no later than June 30, 2024.

OPTION 1: SAME SPACE FALL

After moving out in June, you will have the ability to return to your current space on Campus Apartment Move-In Day, September 20, 2024.

OPTION 2: NEW SPACE FALL

You will have first priority to request a relocation to any available spaces at Bannockburn Village, The Plaza, Glen Mor or unaffected spaces in Falkirk on Campus

Apartment Move-In Day, September 20, 2024. NOTE: Once you sign a contract for your newly-selected space, your current space will become unavailable to you for Fall with this option. A new security deposit will also be required.
